Chartpak </>Textures are a must when we talk about drawing. The more realistic your texture, the more you can explode your sketch.

That´s why is really important to learn make some of these and imite a few, this skill could save your drawing because, besides of helping you to send a message clearly, it gives a whole new level of quality to your sketches.

However, it is not a easy task.

To observate clearly every detail of a material is pretty hard, but you will never regret.

</>This excercise helped me a lot with the Chartpak/Albanene technique because if you use this technique in trees you are perfectly allowed to see how the color really works within the paper and how no matter what color is it and how many pigmentation it has, you can control it in a nice smooth way.

Being able to see the particularities of the drawings and being able to represent them is vital when you are an architect because it is the only art where you have to give an explanation, and it is important for others to understand you, even if it is by drawings because in this profession, drawings and visual presentations are more valuable than words

Depth </>This work was made with my pens and colored in photoshop.

You can clearly see how the hatch and the stuff going on in the drawing reduces dramatically as the perspective goes. That´s how you can see clearly the depth of the landscape sketch

Interest </> Just as other works in this portfolio, this excecise was made by appling ink and color in photoshop.

Since the main subject of this sketches is â&#x20AC;&#x153;interestâ&#x20AC;? yoy can see how just a part od the drawings is hatch so it can catch your eye instantlly.

Volume </> In this sketches you can see more of a “3D” perspective of the drawings inted of just a plain caption of each landscape.

It´s not easy crating the illusion of a volume just by adding hatch and some colors that i added in photoshop, yet is very important to do it because the drawing can get a very diferent interpretation just by doing that.

Merge </>In here we can see a lot of elements being, just as the title say, merge in just one drawing.

Its true that each element is very important and if the objective of the sketch is enhance one of them you should just do that, but if what you want is to comunicate a hole idea you must use all those elements and this is what you can see in both of these sketches.

The perfect exaple of this is the drawing that is in the nex page, the technique used was chartpak and is a merge of perspective, materials and photoshop

Page_17 </> The picture we are seeing next is a original design of a lake house. To make the drawing were used material such as chartpaks, and photoshop as you can see in the stones laying on the ground and the windowa qith that special glow.

Belive it or not, designing stuff is really hard, specially because sometimes you dont have you ideas clear but knowing how to merge tools is always useful.

</>The drawing we see next was made with a cutout building of a magazine and some chartpaks to make the trees and the sky and give the illusion of some background.

This excercise was one of the most difficult ones because sometimes the perspective can seem a little strange, but eventhough the perspective is really important the main feture os the work was vegetation with chartpaks.

</>Being able to communicate ideas is not always so easy and unfortunately sometimes the drawings-no matter how good they are- are just not enough. But thats not to worry, there are plenty of other ways to communicate ideas and dont being afraid of bore the audience.

A perfect example of this is the infographics. A techique where you can hook ideas using both drawings and words. You can be a creative as you want and use any instuments you need to accomplish your goal!

</>In the infographic we se next, we see how can you make a infographic of literally anything, it does not matter if it talls about animals or even food like in the example we see. You must now that your creativity is the limit.

Here we can see how is explain to students of Tec of Monterrey the chepest food in campus with their respective cost. Pretty useful huh?

This invicible city was imagined

by Italo Calvino in his book “Invicible cities” where he describe nonexistent cities with extreme detail.

</>In here we see how, with photoshop, we can edit picture whatever we want because if you no photoshop...you can pretty much do whaterver you want because the program itself does not have any limits so is a tool I highly recomend.

Here we can see represented the invicible city of Ottavia, that hangs backwards of a web betwen to mountains.
