Bringing sunshine to Morecambe Although just 33, Tom Chesters already has 17 years’ experience of the framing industry – with big plans for the future. He exudes energy – and is very excited about what 2021 will bring. 4walls caught up with him in a very sunny mood!

It all started with a Saturday job when Tom was 16. Then in 2014, he set up his own business, Bay Framing, initially from a stall in Morecambe Festival Market and a workshop in Lancaster. In 2017, Tom bought his current premises in the town centre where he can combine both customer service and his workshop.

At the start of this year, Tom’s wife Egle joined him, and with her creative background he is really excited about how they can expand their customer base. They are planning a new website, and a big push on social media. To date, most of Tom’s business has come by word of mouth but to fulfil his ambitions for the business he realises he needs to be more proactive with his marketing.
