Ho Chi Minh City has the potential to build an international circuit. It already has 4 different race tracks, 2 for karting and 2 for cars and motorcycles, but none of them are up to international standards. Considering the amount of people passionate about motorsports and the rise of Vinfast as a car manufacturer, building an international circuit might be economically viable.
The site chosen is planned to be a large park which it can still be even with the built circuit if there’s no event. It is also very close to major transportation center such as international airports or highway exit.
SITE PLAN CONCEPT
1. The basic shape of the track follows the shape of the site
6. Locate the location of pits and paddock areas. 7. Add in run-off areas and supporting roads.
8. Add in secondary stands, karting track, and the main entrance square.
9. Determine the main entrance of the main grandstand, secondary stands, and karting track.
10. Add in the parking lots and entrance to the basement below the main grandstand.
2. The main main grandstand and entrance is located based on the orientation of the site.
3. The secondary stand is located in a location with a good view to surrounding areas.
4. Finalise the shape of the mainstand and adjust the shape of the track accordingly.
5. Add corners and bends to the track to meet FIA’s track length requirements.
