ITH A NOD TO THE past and sights set on the future, the St. Louis Public Library kicked off its sesquicentennial year with an elegant gala set in the grandeur and beauty of downtown’s Central Library. Guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks on the first floor in the Locust Street Atrium; then it was off to the Great Hall and Grand Foyer for dinner, where mezzo soprano Johanna Nordhorn serenaded guests as they were seated.
