Double Efficacy Against Stretch Marks Preventatively And Correctively

Stretch marks are lesions in the dermis that cause irregularities on the surface of the skin. They are the consequence of overly fast stretching of the skin and/or certain hormonal fluctuations that cause a decrease in fibroblast activity. These dermal cells are those that synthesize the fibers that support the skin: elastin and collagen. Parallel to this diminution, elastase, an enzyme that degrades elastic fibers, sees increased activity. In this way, elastin and collagen fibers become fewer, the quality of supporting tissue deteriorates, the architecture of the dermis weakens and becomes incapable of resilience and resistance against intense tension. The tissue tears and stretch marks appear.

Laboratoires de Biarritz Stretch Mark Cream combines two extracts for maximal effect on all the parameters linked to stretch marks. At the same time it prevents stretch marks from appearing by strengthening the dermis and, if necessary, promotes their disappearance by activating tissue reconstruction.

Clinically Proven Effectiveness

A trial was undertaken under dermatological supervision to show the effectiveness of the Stretch Mark Cream for the remediation of stretch marks.

30 female subjects of ages 18 to 45 were participants. They presented recently appeared stretch marks (1-year maximum, pink-purple stretch marks with oedematous aspect) on the hips, abdomen, chest, arms, or thighs.

The Stretch Mark Cream was applied twice per day for 2 months.
