The epidermis is the first tissue of our bodies that is in contact with the outside world. Its integrity must be maintained so that it can fulfill its two essential roles, the ″skin barrier function″: i.e. protection against external agents and regulation of hydration. However, it can easily be ruptured (through the effect of rubbing, damage, irritation, inflammation, etc.) and falter.

Alga-Sendatu ® stimulates the regeneration and maturation of keratinocytes, helping epidermal epithelial reconstruction.

In in vitro and ex vivo testing, Alga-Sendatu® has shown its efficacy on the epidermis and dermis:

› regeneration of fibroblasts (dermis),

› consolidation of collagen network (dermis),

› proliferation, migration, and differentiation of keratinocytes (epidermal cells),

› increase of keratinocyte adhesion at the dermal-epidermal junction.

Up to the age of 2-3, the skin of the infant is under development. Some parameters, such as permeability and sensitivity to external insult are very different for the infant. The hydrolipidic layer is fragile and cannot completely act as a barrier. This is why infant skin dries out faster and is more sensitive to external insult. It can easily redden due to the rubbing of diapers or clothing, sudden changes in the weather, etc.

Alga-Paisium is an exclusive phlorotannin-rich extract of Fucus vesiculosus , a brown seaweed. Phlorotannins have been proven to help maintain skin integrity, notably thanks anti-inflammatory and anti- allergic properties.

In vitro testing has proven the efficacy of the Alga-Paisium extract in reducing markers of skin inflammation.

Alaria Esculenta Extract

Alaria esculenta is long, ribbonlike macroscopic brown seaweed. Ex vivo testing has shown its anticollagenase and antielastase activity (preserving collagen and elastin fibrils).

The skin stays supple and elastic.

Rock Samphire Extract

Revitalizing Active

Rock Samphire is a very resistant coastal plant. Ex vivo testing (dosage of CO 2 release after the metabolization of glucose-6-phosphate) demonstrated activation of cellular respiration by the Rock samphire extract. Cellular respiration leads to energy production.

Sugar Kelp Extract

SUGAR KELP IS A BROWN SEAWEED THAT REDUCES TINGLING SENSATIONS AND BRINGS BACK THE RADIANCE OF THE SKIN

Sugar Kelp ( Laminaria saccharina ) is a brown seaweed that gives an extract with several active molecules: laminarin promotes microcirculation and has a decongestant effect; phenolic compounds reduce inflammation; and film-forming, hydrophilic alginates promote hydration and counter drying ( in vivo testing).
