PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Executive Director Kentucky Physical Therapy Association (2002-Present) Highlights: Organized a state-wide public relations campaign to raise awareness of alternatives to opioids for pain management. Mobilized a grassroots legislative advocacy campaign to increase access to therapy services for Kentucky's citizens. Planned multi-day conferences. Administered continuing education unit (CEU) database for physical therapy in Kentucky. Designed surveys to assess member needs; then worked with an 11-member board of directors to incorporate survey results into the strategic plan. Responsible for all functions related to association management including but not limited to: membership sales and growth, organizing and implementing the strategic plan, overseeing budget, coordinating volunteers, assisting with brand management, public and vendor relations, event planning (continuing education conferences), tradeshow marketing, designed and coordinated publication of weekly digital newsletter, managed all social media, established grassroots networks effective in influencing legislative policy.

Event Planner Close the Loop (2017-2018, freelance position) Highlights: Launched the first-ever global leadership conference for Close the Loop. Worked with CEO to develop presentation announcing Close the Loop's move to a publicly traded company. Created experience video summarizing the intent and purpose of the meeting. Organized multiple outings for participants to experience "local flavor." Managed all aspects of presenter coordination, technology, room set-up, attendee gifts, catering, registration, etc. Oversaw all aspects in executing Close the Loop's first global leadership summit, preceding their launch to a publicly trading company. Worked across multiple countries (and time zones) to coordinate speaker presentations. Ensured branding consistency and provided consultation on social media strategies.

Created new and modernized logo. Implemented branding for inaugural meeting: “Connecting Pain Professionals,” with coordinating graphics. Ensured conference was financially viable through corporate sponsorship and industry trade show. Created potential membership database. Organized the inaugural conference of the Kentucky Pain Society. Coordinated all aspects of conference planning from development of attendee and sponsor rosters to design of marketing materials. Duties included site inspections, program budgets, banquet event orders, acquiring continuing medical education for attendees, program planning, on-site event execution, and post-conference evaluation.

Program Director Kentucky Physical Therapy Association (1994-1999) Highlights: Improved the quality and implementation of meetings for 12 to 200 attendees, leading end-to-end event management. Duties included site inspections, program budgets, banquet event orders, promotional materials, program planning, onsite event execution, and post-conference evaluation. Assisted in public policy efforts to prevent reimbursement cuts of up to 30% for physical therapy services by the Department of Worker’s Claims (Worker’s compensation fee schedule). Campaign successful in preventing proposed cuts

. Led exhibit space sales and management for KPTA events and all event logistics, including room layouts, audio/technical requirements, food/beverage planning, and print and online registrations. Worked closely with President to affect change in public policy regarding the delivery of physical therapy services.
