Our Father in Heaven THE LORD'S PRAYER CAN BE FOUND IN MATTHEW 6 AND LUKE 11

NOTES:

STRATEGY: Consider your earthly father’s characteristics (good & bad); make a list. Compare them with your Heavenly Father’s characteristics. Regularly incorporate God’s characteristics into your prayers; ask for forgiveness for casting characteristics on Him that are not of His nature.

SCRIPTURE STUDY AT HOME: 1 John 3:1; Joshua 1:5; Psalm 5:11-12; Philippians 4:19; Matthew 7:8-11; Romans 8:14; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17; Romans 15:4-5; Ephesians 1:18; 1 Peter 1:4

Hallowed be Your Name (Your Name be honored as holy) NOTES:


STRATEGY: As an image bearer of our Lord, pray that you reflect His glory to a lost world. Pray specifically for a person in your life who needs to come to an understanding of God’s holiness and saving grace. Speak His name only in respect.

SCRIPTURE STUDY AT HOME: Exodus 3:1-15; Exodus 20:7, Nehemiah 9:9-21; Matthew 1:23; Isaiah 6:1-8; Isaiah 48:1011; Acts 4:8-12; Philipians 2:1-11

Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. NOTES:

STRATEGY: Spend some time considering God’s will that He has already revealed in His Word. Ask for forgiveness where you are living outside of His will; pray for courage and perseverance to live inside His revealed will. Ask yourself "is there a hard thing I'm avoiding that God is calling me to do?" Step out in faith to do it.

SCRIPTURE STUDY AT HOME: I Thessalonians 4: 1-7; Luke 17:20-21; Matthew 26:36-46; Luke 9:23-24; James 4:13-17; Acts 1:4-8


Give us each day our daily bread NOTES:

STRATEGY: In what areas of your life are you relying on your own strengths? Is there a struggle that you have yet to discuss with the Lord? Where does your faith need to be bolstered? Do you have discontent with what the Lord has given you? Confess all these to the Lord and ask for help in trusting in His perfect provision for “your daily bread.�

SCRIPTURE STUDY AT HOME: Exodus 16: 1-20; Matthew 4: 1-11; Psalm 118: 19-24; Philippians 4:8-20

Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us NOTES:


STRATEGY: Confess specific sins to our Father and ask for forgiveness. Tell Him about someone whom you are struggling to forgive and ask for His help. Do something actionable that will help you.

SCRIPTURE STUDY AT HOME: Romans 3:10-20; Psalm 103; 1 John 1:8-9; Matthew 18:15-35

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil NOTES:

STRATEGY: Think about a specific situation in which you face temptation. What Bible verses will help you win this battle? Now pray!
