The world population will rise to approximately 11 billion people by 2050, according to estimates of the UN. To feed all, we need to produce more food with less, by decreasing inputs. Kverneland Group works closely together with the professional farming community worldwide to meet these challenges.

Kverneland Group employs 2.400 people world­wide. Around 200 work at the Crop Care factory in Nieuw-Vennep (NL). The majority works in research & development, manufacturing, logistics and sales & marketing of our Crop Care division. Our Crop Care homebase in Nieuw-Vennep, and also the Vicon brand, were founded in 1910 by Hermanus Vissers, a practical arable farmer from the polder Haarlemmermeer. The history of the Kverneland brand dates back to 1879 when the founder, Ole Gabriel Kverneland, built a forge to manufacture scythes, in the village of Kvernaland near Stavanger in Norway. Since the establishment of both brands, many inventions have been done.

Always with one thing in common: listen to the farmer and make his work easier.

Today Kverneland Group has Production Sites in Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Italy, Russia and China. Our Sales Companies represent Kverneland Group in 19 countries, while Kverneland Group exports to another 60 countries worldwide. In 2012 Kubota Corporation acquired Kverneland Group, which secures the continuity and guarantees a bright outlook to continue setting new milestones in the future.

This enables farmers to spray as less as possible, at the right moment, on the right spot. Intelligent features on our sprayers, like automatically controlling overlap, decreases the use of chemicals in agriculture significantly.
