Raking it in FMJ teamed up with LandPower TV to review the Kverneland Proline 95130 C four-rotor, heavy-duty rake in Lancashire. With plenty of grass ahead of us, here’s how it performed WORDS SIMON HENLEY IMAGES SIMON HENLEY/KVERNELAND

he Kverneland Proline four-rotor 95130 C (13.0m) joined the Norwegian manufacturer’s KV9000 range of grass rakes for the 2017 season, when it first appeared alongside the 97150 C (15.0m) and the previously launched 94125 C (12.5m) models. The new models were aimed at larger farms and contractors who required a heavy-duty rake capable of rowing up in front of a high-output forage harvester, large forage wagon or high-capacity baler. The 95130 C features 12 tine arms per rotor, each one equipped with four tines. With a working width extending from 10 to 13m, the 95130 C is available as a basic model with manual control or as the ISObus-

T

compatible 95130 C Pro version, which is controlled using a Kverneland ISOMatch Tellus dual-screen terminal or the simpler Tellus Go unit.

Added functions The addition of ISObus control on the Pro model adds functions that include individual rotor or single-side lift, single control folding/unfolding, enhanced headland rotor management and swath width memory. Since you don’t get any of this with the basic C model tested here we won’t mention them again. So, what do you get for the £64,257 required to buy a Proline 95130 C? Well, the first thing is a saving of £5228, which is the price difference

between the base and the Pro versions. You might not get the convenience of ISObus control but you do get the same combination of heavy-duty Proline components, including the maintenance-free Proline rotor gearboxes and Terralink Quattro rotor suspension. The Proline rotor gearboxes are heavy-duty aluminium units featuring oil-immersed pinion and crown wheels with bearings supporting both ends of the pinion drive. Added to this are large adjustable cam tracks to provide smoother operation and reduce track follower wear. The 95130 C uses huge 400mm track followers, which are very similar in design to the roller cam
