Small Business Spotlight
Red Vine Business Consultants
We’re so excited to introduce ourselves and tell you a bit about who we are, what we do, and how our story began not just as business partners, but as a family whose shared values turned into a company built to serve others.
We are Erin Chandler, based in Kuna, Idaho, and Jamison Iovine, located in Lakewood, California. Together, we co-own and operate Red Vine Business Consultants a fully virtual bookkeeping and business consulting firm serving clients both locally and across the United States.
Our Story
Red Vine was born out of a professional collaboration that quickly grew into a strong friendship. After several years of working together on mutual clients in the financial world, we realized we made a pretty great team. That realization, paired with a desire to support small businesses with clarity and confidence, gave life to Red Vine.

At the core of our business is a simple mission: to help small business owners succeed, not just financially, but in building the kind of businesses that bring peace of mind and long-term growth. Whether you're just starting out or an established company, we’re here to help you organize, analyze, and thrive.
Red Vine Business Consultants
continued from page 1 consulting services, customized to fit the unique needs of your business.
Our partnership works because it’s rooted in more than business. It's a fun, family atmosphere built on trust, balance, and respect. That foundation allows us to serve our clients from a place of authenticity, collaboration, and compassion.
We like to say that Erin is “The Brawn” and Jamison is “The Brain,” but truthfully, our strengths are perfectly complementary. Erin brings the structure, communication, and operational backbone. Jamison provides strategic insight, deep financial knowledge, and a love for numbers that make financial problemsolving his sweet spot. Together, we bring a dynamic approach to every project blending empathy with accuracy, and strategy with service.

Why Do Coins Have Ridges?
When the U.S. Mint opened back in Philadelphia in 1793, the coins it produced were made of copper, silver, and gold. Because coins of this era were made of precious metal, they were vulnerable to a practice known as clipping, which involved cutting off a small portion around the circumference of the coins. A skilled clipper would shave off enough from the coins to eventually amass a quantity of scrap metal worth cashing in, while also ensuring that the coins weren’t conspicuously reduced in size or weight, allowing the altered coins to still be spent.
In order to combat the practice, England began minting coins with ridged edges; a smooth edge on any part of a coin

would then be a telltale sign of clipping. When the United States was founded as an independent nation, the U.S. Mint followed suit by designing its higher denomination coins with reeded edges right from the beginning.
