Foreword The theme for this book project is My Stockholm. Our class of 25 Swedish-English bilingual second graders has chosen to give you an insight on parts of Stockholm that we know really well: My Street! Our streets are diverse and beautiful.

We want to help you explore the streets which hold our memories and constitute our landmarks. We did some basic research and reflection and chose the language that would best express our feelings in respect to our streets. Our texts have been modified as little as possible. Follow us and discover Stockholm through our streets!

Förord Temat för det här bokprojektet är Mitt Stockholm. Vår klass, en engelsk-svensk årskurs 2:a med 25 elever, har valt att berätta om de delar av Stockholm som vi känner till mycket väl: Min Gata!

Våra gator är olika och vackra. Vi vill ge er möjlighet att upptäcka dem med våra ögon. Vi har undersökt och funderat på våra gator och sedan valt vilket språk vi skulle skriva på. Våra texter är redigerade av våra lärare, men så lite som möjligt. Läs vår bok och upptäck Stockholm med oss!

I live on Karlbergsvägen it is a long street with about 90 apart ment blocks.

There are shops like tattoo artist, dry cleauers and restaurants – gunthers korv and a nursery, a school and a churth. Gunthers korv is the best in town. Karlbergsvägen is one of a few streets in Stockholm that have gardens and trees.my favorite place is gunthers korv and my living room in my apart ment.

Mit favorit plats p책 min gata e mit hus . En gong bode en shend poletiker i mit hus .

Jag har ockso en kyrka. Den har ett stort krys p책 taket. min gata har 14 hus och 채r veldit gamal Mitt hus har bara l채genheter.

Saga Anthony

Min gata heter Heliosgatan. På det flesta hus fins det ungefär 7-9 våningar. Det fins en resturang som heter Tezukuri som har jätte bra sushi. På min gata fins det bara lägenheter. Det fins runt 60 hus. Min favorit plats är en staty som heter Pomona hon har en krans med äpplen i. Pomona är en ganska populär staty. Den sattes det för cirka 7 år sen. Det fins en hammn på bak sidan av gatan vid hamnen fins det många båtar.

Celeste Arsjö Egan

Min gata heter Midskepps gatan.Den är kort. Mitt hus har en gård som är stor. Jag har många träd. Framför mitt hus finns det ett hotell som er hökt.Det finns fina hus mitimot Mig. Mina kompisar bor okså mitimot mig. Jag brukar leka med mina kompisar vi brukar leka på gården. Det finns många båtar i hammarby sjöstad båtarna är fina och stora.

I live on Sturehillsvägen in Årstaberg.

My favourite place is the hill by my house.

I have 6 floor's in my house.

I have no shop's or business'es by my house.

It is mainly flat's by my neighborhood.

I think the hill is special because in winter you can ride your sled down it. There is also a play park wich many kid's like.

There is also a shcool nearby my house.

My street is short.

I live on the actual mountain Årstaberg.

I live next to a construcshon siht it is very confusing to see were i live.

I live on number 31.

I live on Merkurius v채gen, which is a little out of Stockholm.

My street is long.

There are 31 house numbers.

It only has flats on my street.

There are 3 floors.

There are no businesses or shops.

There is a little park i lika to go its infront of our flat.

I think the park is special because i often see my friends there that live close by.

Some times my family goes out to play.

There is a little daycare i do not really like.

The flats have balcony and windows.

I live on Kristinebergsv채gen. There are only flats on my street . And all houses have 5 floors. But no shops but there are 2 pre-scools. My favorite place is the garden. In the garden we bbq,play games and much more. But my favorite thing is that my best friend livs close by.And hes name is Erik. We play ps4 togeter. We all so have alot of play dates.

I live on Kyrkbacken9. My street is a short street with 31 numbers. There are mostly flats. Most have three floors. There are no shops or businesses on my street.

My favorite place is a path. The path is on a slope. It is really fun to scoot fast on it because the path is smooth and made of asphalt. There is an old church with pretty windows. It is more than 100 years old. The man who built the church hid some treasure under. It is still there.

Den är lång.

Min lägenhet är brun utom hus.

Nära min gata fins en stor backe där jag kan ut forska.

Min gata är väldigt lugn.

My street. it is a very short street. It has a length of 0.04 kilometers. It is veri close to a park which is cald Hagalunds parken.

And sometimes I go there and pla tv games and foot bol.

We have a red house and we have 13 rooms in the house.

And it is 2 floors. 4 people livs there.

I live on Torsgatan. My favourit place is a cupcak cafe. My favourit cupcakes ar the chocolate cupcakes. I live realy close to Vasaparken. I like Vasaparken because i can play football ther. Out side my door thers a pizza place. Thers a MAX on my street. Thers more than 80 Numbers on my street. My building has four floors. Ther ar only flats on my street. I live on a long street. I live at number 71.

Min gata heter Carl Malmstens väg. Namnet kommer ifrån en man som heter Carl Malmsten. Han var känd för att desaina möbler. Min gata är en lång gata,med ungefär 50 hus numer. Mitt favorit ställe är en lek park som jag och mina vänner brular leka i. Man träffar sina grannar ofta.

Varja hus på min gata har 2 våningar eller så ar det ett höghus. Det fins en ICA nära min gata.

I live on Kammarkagatan. It is a long street with 55 numbers on. My favorite place on my street is a pizza place. I think it is my favorite place becuose i have pizza every friday almost, and the pizza is relly jummy. My house is a flat, there is most 4 floors on my street.

My strret is a long strret .

There ar a few shops on my strret.

I have a restorrant on my strret. It is my favorit place but i dont go there very ofen. I olso like r책lis parken. It is a fun place. You can play foot ball and have piniks.

The tunel pana is very close.

I like my strret becuse it is long.

I live on Klara Tv채r gr채nd. It is very very short and it has two house numbers (3 and 5). On my street there is one building where you can live and it has 11 floors. There are two restaurants called Pong thai buffe and Pong sushi I dont really like the smel of the reastaurants and that is why home is my favorite place on my street alltogh I have never tasted the food. About fifteen years ago the building I live in was a garage and my street is one of the shortest streets in Stockholm because it has 2 restaurants and 1 building.

Det finns bara lägenheter.

Det är en väldigt long gata.

Det finns mest 7 eller 6 våningar.

På min gata finns ganska många affäerer.

Det finns en resturang, en bloomaffär, låssmed affär & bagery.

Mitt favoritställe är en park som heter Vanadislunden.

It is really fun to be there with friends.

There is also a new pool in the park.

I go there alot with friends.

The best thing is that my friends live there.

Min gata heter Birger Jarlsgatan. Mitt favoritställe är en rästurang.

Den heter tulfritt . det finns kebab . det är en av de längsta gatanona i Stockholm. Husets färg är orange . min längnhet är stor . jag bor på fäman. Från mitt fönstär ser man vanadislunden och vaten tornet .

I live on Sveav채gen. My street is a verry long street. It is one of the main streets in Stokholm. It has170 numbers. It has mostly flats but olso a lot of stores and offices. I think bildings have six or maby eight floors. My favorite place is the pool in vanadis i like it because the pool has hot water and it is fun to play there.

Min gata heter Roslagsgatan. Jag gillar det namnet för att jag heter Rose i efternamn. Det är en ganska lång gata. Skolan ligger på samma gata som jag bor på. Jag gillar Roslagsgatan för att jag bor på den. Roslagsgatan har några affärer till exempel shez albert. Jag gillar shez albert för att dom seljer god mat.Shez albert är min favorit affär på Roslagsgatan.Men jag har faktist ett till favorit stele på min gata och det är mitt hus. Mitt hus är en av mina favorit stelen för att jag har bott där ganska länge. Jag flyttade dit när jag bara var 1 år. Jag gillar mit hus för att jag vekste upp där.

My street is called Vilans v채gen. My number is 4. My street is very long. Ther ar 46 houses on my street. Ther are mostley two flors on each house.

I do not have any shop on my street or bussines on my street.

The favourite Place on my street is the playground. It is special to me because i like to play fottball ther. And ther is also a place wher you can go sleding. And you can go on a snow rocket it is very fun ther.

Ther is one more thing on my street. I have a bigger fottball field and rite ther is the sleding place. Nex to it is the fottball field.

Min gata heter Döbelns gatan. på min gata fins det bara lägenheter. det fins 86 (87) bygnader den är ganska lång.

Nåra bygnader har 5 våningar och nåra har 9. Det fins ungefär 2 dagisar och ett hund dagis. Det fins också en kem tvet. Min favorit plats är kem tveten för att den som jobar där ger mej en kluba varje gong jag kommer. Vanadis lunden är också på min gata. Vanadis lunden är en park det fins en lek park och på vintern kan man åka pulka. Det fins också en world clas. Det fins en ica som är på min gata och på en anan.

I live on Hagagatan 46A. My street is long. About 50 numbers. It has mainly flats and about 5/6 floors. On my street we have restaurants,gyms,hotels and shops. My favorite place on my street is allstars gym. I like allstars gym because I train jujitsu there and famous people train there like Robson and the mauler. Another thing I like about my street is I have a lot of friends near by and I live very near school. The last thing I like about my street is our house is in the court-yard.

My street is named Vahallav채gen.

My street is the longest in the city. It is 3,532 meters. On my street there mostl apartments.4 or 5 floors. There is one shopping mall,2 school's,many stores, restaurants and some tree. The shopping mall is my favorit place because there are so many stores. I like it because the library is closeby. It is on the top of the shopping mall. I also like the toy store. In the library I read and borrow books. In the toy store I look at toys. It is special because I was born on it and it is my street.

I live on Ängsullsvägen.It is a little bit out of Stockholm.

It is a short street but there are around 200 houses.

There is 3 floors in every house.

You live in row houses.

The favourite place is Vita Villorna. There are lots of trees and a play ground and you can play football there.It is called Vita Villorna because there is two houses that are white.

The business on my street is music kidz.

There are garages and over the garages there are parkinglots.

Min gata heter Södra långgatan. mitt favorit stälä är en lekplats. Det finns en koja och tre gungor. Det finns många afärer och företag och det finns en pool. Jag gillar at gå till poolen. Det är välit stort det är rolit at leka på min gata.

Det finns minst mer än 50 hus och min gata är välikt long.

Poolen liger nästan mitimot mitt hus.Det är trevlit at gå dit. Det är roligt at leka med leksakerna där och vi har en tregård och det finns en taj restorag nästan är mitimot oss.

Det finns godis där. Också finns det afär nära mig.
