Kare Kare is a Philippine stew made with a peanut butter curry style base, vegetables, and beef usually served alongside with rice. It's been a Philippine staple for hundreds of years, and there are multiple origin stories about it. The Kapampangans, the Tagalogs, and the Indians all claim Kare Kare to be derived from their respective cultures. Despite where it's actually from, most Filipinos can agree it is a very tasty dish that is a must try for those who are interested in trying Filipino food
