To verify or add a telephone or email account to the record, simply go to “Contact Information and Preferences,� then “Preference for receiving library notices� and select “email address,� “telephone� or “TXT messaging� from the drop-down list to choose the format by which library information notices should be received. Patrons who opt to receive text messages will need to ensure that their cell phone number is included on their library record and indicate which cell phone provider they use by selecting a choice from the drop-down menu. Standard textmessaging rates apply, based on the patron’s cell-phone plan.

The libraries’ computers are available for patrons to check their email anytime. Fort Bend County Libraries does not sell or give patrons’ email addresses to other parties.
