No doubt Triglav National Park is the place where the modern tourist nomad can experience the most beautiful nature. You can inhale fresh air, walk through boundless vastness, admire picturesque mountain flora and watch animals in their natural habitat.

Triglav National Park offers you endless walks and safe shelters in huts, where you can refresh yourself with cheese, sour milk or hard-boiled com mush (žganci). You will never forget how you have managed to conquer the magnificent Triglav, the mysterious Kot Valley, overhanging rocks on the way to Prisank, Martuljek group with its waterfalls, as well as the green walks to Rateče and the golden yellow larch branches. The astonishing mountainous nature is also scattered with the rich cultural inheritance of the Upper Sava Valley, such as the old mills, homesteads, customs and craft skills of the Kranjska Gora inhabitants.

You can choose persistent ski-running, romantic tobogganing, set off for a bold tour skiing, or decide for ice-skating, swimming in indoor swimming pools ...

relaxation experiences The Upper Sava Valley with its altitude, untouched nature, and numerous sunny days is an ideal place for your body and soul, in short for wellness. You can indulge yourself in many water pleasures in modern swimming pools in Kranjska Gora hotels. You can relax in whirlpools and then warm up in Turkish, Finnish or infrared saunas. In addition you will feel even better under the hands of well-skilled masseurs of traditional and Thai massage, in a solarium, and perhaps even in a beauty parlour. After a walk in the fresh air you will surely get healthily hungry, and in no time you will be served with delicious Slovenian and international dishes. In the end you can taste the best Slovenian wines in our wine cellars, and also a dram of the genuine fruit or bilberry brandy cannot do you any harm, it can only raise your spirit high under the mountain tops ...

Our diverse offers of social and recreational experiences prove that the tourist destination Kranjska Gora is family friendly. These range from a nice summer walk through untouched woods to family swimming in hotel water parks. Woods and mountains are settled with dwarfs, fairies, black men of the woods, and other legendary creatures, which agitate children’s imagination. In this way, through fairy tales, children discover and get to know these unique and mysterious lands. The sly Kekec, who is spreading good humour over the mountains, is also receiving and treating them. You can as well enjoy a day of your family holidays in the annual creative Kekec days. In summer, as well as in winter you can toboggan from the hills to the valley.

The tourist destination Kranjska Gora could also be named »bio« congressional tourism, as it is by no means directed to mass, but rather to middle-range quality business events. An exception to the role is the multi-purpose Vitranc sports hall, in which it is possible to organize meetings for more than one thousand participants of the top level sports and entertainment events, fairs, congresses and banquets. But the size is not always the most important: most often a smaller room is more convenient for “brain storming” as there the participants are able to rest for a little while during the tiring “trainings” as they can enjoy the beautiful view through the window. The Upper Sava Valley with its unspoilt nature and numerous vivid experiences represents an ideal place for the organisations of “team buildings”, in the form of adrenaline sports, as well as in the relaxing mutual experiences.

No doubt you will spend an unforgettable evening or two in the gambling and entertaining centres and casinos of Kranjska Gora which have a long standing tradition. Apart from gambling they will spoil you with the accompanying entertaining programmes and events. Moreover the tourist destination follows its slogan “Vivid experiences of the Julian Alps” offering its visitors all the year round social and other events and entertainment. Let us begin with the biggest Slovenian ski holiday, the Vitranc World Ski Cup and the ski flights and jumps in Planica, and continue with the the merry carnival and Midsummer’s Night bonfire. Summer is the time for musical, theatrical and dancing shows in the open air. In autumn you can whittle witchery pumpkins and try your skills in the farm jobs on the numerous ethnological events.

During the winter season you can enjoy yourself with old Nicks, admire the unique “wintry spectacle of live nativity scene in icy kingdom” or take part in the traditional New Year’s Eve party.
