Welcome to the world of arts Welcome Wir können es selbst kaum glauben, aber das Reeperbahn Festival feiert dieses Jahr sein erstes Jubiläum! Was wir in unserem fünften Jahr sehen, ist ein detailverliebtes, mutiges, internationales Programm. Damit sind wir ganz nah dran an der Vision, mit der wir 2006 gestartet sind. Neben den vielen spannenden Live-Acts in fast dreißig Locations gilt es einmal mehr auch die vielfältigen Projekte aus Film, Bildender Kunst und Happenings, die um das Thema Musik „angedockt“ haben, zu entdecken. Was vor fünf Jahren mit der mittlerweile zum Publikumsliebling avancierten Flatstock Europe Poster Convention begann, ist heute eine eigene, sozusagen erwachsene Sparte an mehr als zehn Spielorten. Hinter Reeperbahn Festival Arts verbergen sich zahlreiche Filmvorführungen, Ausstellungen, Touren, Streetart-Aktionen und zum ersten Mal auch die Kooperation mit dem Hamburger Comicfestival – alles zusammen so umfangreich, dass wir nun ein separates Programmheft dazu veröffentlichen. Für euch bedeutet diese Programmerweiterung schon mal vorschlafen! Das Reeperbahn Festival beginnt ab sofort bereits am Nachmittag. What we can see in the fifth year of our existence is an audacious international programme with a love for detail – and with this we are very close to the vision we had when we started in 2006. Apart from many exciting bands in almost 30 locations, this time again, you can discover diverse and projects in film, creative art and other happenings that have docked onto the theme of music. The event that began with the Flatstock Europe Poster Convention, meanwhile advanced as darling of the public, has become a branch of its own – it has, in a manner of speaking, grown-up and takes place at more than ten venues. Reeperbahn Festival Arts includes numerous film showings, exhibitions, tours, street-art acts and, for the first time, also the cooperation with the Hamburg Comicfestival – altogether so much content, that we are publishing a separate events guide. For you this expansion to the programme means: Get some sleep in advance! As of now the Reeperbahn Festival begins in the afternoon. WasseRWanD conTesT Streetart-Künstler und Straßenmaler wurden aufgerufen, Entwürfe für die Gestaltung einer Häuserfassade mitten in St. Pauli zu kreieren. Der Gewinner wird während des Reeperbahn Festivals die 100 Quadratmeter große Wand in der Wohlwillstraße in ein Kunstwerk verwandeln. Yet again this takes place at the “hot corner”, yet again with black and white wallpapers displaying new footage from their recent Africa journey through Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa. Die Beatles-Touren finden exklusiv für Reeperbahn Festival Besucher statt. Die Teilnehmerzahl ist begrenzt. Dauer ca. 1,5 Std. The Beatles-Tour, guided by Stefanie Hempel, provides an insight into the life of the Fab Four in Hamburg. By now Stefanie is regarded as THE Beatles expert in Hamburg, having worked for Radio and TV as a consultant, and of course she is continually sought-after for her singing talents. The Beatles-Tours will be held exclusively for Reeperbahn Festival visitors. The number of participants is limited. Duration ca. 1,5 hours.
