OPEN TO EVERYONE Anderson Aquatic Center is home to an indoor heated Olympic-sized pool. The 50-meter pool features a onemeter diving board and a 50-foot tube water slide. Large locker rooms are equipped with heated showers and suit dryers. There is an indoor interactive spray park with no standing water. The newly renovated outside patio area is now home to our seasonal Splash Town, which includes an interactive spray park and our Splash Town Café. The patio also has ample space for eating and sunbathing. Anderson Aquatic Center also features a cardiovascular fitness room. This work out area includes treadmills, stationary and recumbent bicycles, rowing machine, an eight-station Universal Weight machine and several Nautilus machines. In addition, there is an indoor eating and vending machine room.

Automotive Service Center 1054 Spearhead Division Ave Fort Knox, KY 40121 (502) 624-5338 OPEN TO MILITARY & FAMILY. OPEN TO FORT KNOX EMPLOYEES. The Fort Knox Automotive Craft Service Center is a forty-two bay facility with bays designated for specific automotive repairs and maintenance related activities. There are twelve lifts, one tire changing bay, three oil lift bays, ten general maintenance bays and two motorcycle lifts for the do-it-yourselfer. Mandatory training is required to obtain a DA form 3031-1 Qualification Card for Use of Automotive Crafts Shop. Qualification cards issued from other Military installations will be honored. Classes are held when requested by patrons. The Automotive Craft Service Center has seven technicians available to make repairs to the Fort Knox community’s automobile needs. It is operated on a first-come-first-serve basis. However, oil changes and tire rotations can be scheduled. Auto Crafts carries a parts inventory and can get most parts on the same day depending on availability. Auto Crafts carries a full line of tires and has two delivery times (Wednesday and Friday). We also offer a 90 day Same as Cash Payment plan for qualified applicants. MANDATORY SAFETY TRAINING

Camp Carlson, located just three miles west of the Brandenburg Gate on Highway 60, is the perfect place to escape the harried world of military life on Fort Knox. If you are hosting a larger event, the park is available for rental. With walking trails, recreational vehicle sites, rental cabins, picnic areas, a lodge and a beautiful fishing lake, Camp Carlson is sure to offer the peace and relaxation that you deserve at a price you can easily afford. Camp Carlson offers: • 25 acre lake with catfish, bluegill, crappie & bass • Carlson Hall, has a ballroom and kitchen, perfect for large gatherings • Three Group Cabins, each sleeps 16 • Two Sleeper Cabins, one room with a bathroom, each sleeps only two • Six Ranch Cabins, each with bathroom, kitchen & one bedroom, sleeps 4 to 6, bedding varies in each cabin • Two Double Cabins, each with bathroom, kitchen & two bedrooms, one sleeps 8 and one sleeps 10 • Tent Camping with picnic tables and fire rings • 4 Reserve Picnic Areas, with barbecue grills, shelters, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, and playgrounds • Laundry facilities • 58 Recreational Vehicle Sites (9 are pull-through sites and 3 are ADA sites) 40 have full hook-ups, 18 with water and electric only. Child, Youth & School Services Devers Middle School and Teen Program (MST) 5543 Chaffee Ave (502) 624-6442 Devers Middle School and Teen Program creates opportunities and supportive environments for culturally diverse youth in Middle School and High School to be capable, competent, and caring citizens. MST delivers Youth Sponsorship Programs, Youth Councils, Volunteer Community Services, Games and Leisure Activities, Computer Labs, Homework/Learning Centers, Tutoring, Individual/Group Sports and Fitness Activities, and Workforce Preparation. Youth can participate in after school clubs through Youth Services’ association with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and 4-H. SAC is dedicated to supporting families by providing age-appropriate, educational, safe & supervised out of school options for children kindergarten through 5th grade. It is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and fully certified by the DoD. SAC has a commitment to responsive care, trained & competent staff, a safe and healthy environment, and consistent program improvement and quality. The total Army workforce, Active Duty, civilian, contractors and AAFES personnel are eligible for care. Transportation is provided to and from Fort Knox Schools. Fort Knox Child Development Center (CDC) is fully certified by the Department of Defense. At the center children are growing and learning continuously through “hands-on” experiences and positive interactions with adults, other children, the environment and materials offered to them. Each of our full day preschool rooms is equipped with computers and age appropriate software for the children’s use. In-Home certified care is provided by a family member residing in on-post housing and homes off-post. Providers are private contractors who establish their own fees and hours. Quality care is provided in an enriched learning environment for children 4 weeks to fifth grade. FCC Providers and their family members 12 and up receive annual background checks, fire, health and safety inspections along with monthly home visits made by the FCC staff. Providers receive an initial 64 hours training to include CPR, First Aid, Child Growth and Development, Guidance, and Child Abuse. Training is required as part of maintaining certification. USDA approved meals and snacks are provided daily. FCC providers offer full-day, part-day, hourly care, special needs, extended care, evening/weekend care, before/after school, and long term care. Parents interview and select their provider from a list of certified caregivers.

Venturepoint initiative was created to help meet the needs of Military Families and consists of two components, The EDGE! and Workforce Preparation.

Program offers out-of-school opportunities for children and youth (1st -12th grade) to experience, develop, grow and excel by participating in cutting-edge art, fitness, life skills and adventure activities, known as Art EDGE!, Fit EDGE!, Life EDGE!, and Adventure EDGE! Art EDGE! promotes learning-by-doing and focuses on the development of lifetime skills through exposure to the arts. Art EDGE! activities increase creative development while building selfesteem. Fit EDGE! educates and encourages children and youth to incorporate a healthier lifestyle through physical activity and nutritional awareness programs. Life EDGE! imparts upon children and youth the skills needed for life-long growth as well as the exploration of future career fields. Adventure EDGE! encourages children/youth to embrace the outdoors and nature while being exposed to activities that stimulate relaxation. For more information about The EDGE! Workforce Preparation Bldg. 67 Fort Knox, KY 40121 (502) 624-3167 Workforce Preparation provides youth opportunities to explore career choices and entrepreneurial enterprises, identify interests, set career related goals, and enables them to successfully enter the work place. Experiences may include, but are not limited to, classes in resume writing, interview skills, dressing for success, office communication, interpersonal relations, or opportunities for job-shadowing, apprenticeships, and entrepreneurships. This program will afford youth the opportunity to attend job fairs, college nights and other related special events. Dog Park 722 Ninth Cavalry Regiment Road Fort Knox, KY 40121 (502) 624-4747 1. Open 24 hours 2. The Dog Park is designated as an area that is exempt from Fort Knox leash restrictions for use by mature adults and nonaggressive dogs. Children under 10 years of age are not permitted. Children 10-15 years of age must be closely supervised at all times in the Dog Park. No other types of animals are permitted. 3. Any person entering the Dog Park acknowledges the risks and dangers inherent in dog parks and running off-leash dogs and, by entering, assumes the risk of injury to themselves and their dogs. 4. Bicycles, inline skates, roller skates, skateboards, strollers, motorized vehicles and similar items are not permitted in the Dog Park. Wheel chairs, motorized wheel chairs, crutches and walkers are permitted. 5. Dogs must be current on vaccinations per Fort Knox Regulation 40-12, Control of Privately Owned Animals (14 May 2009). For their health and safety, dogs should be current on all their shots, especially rabies vaccine, kennel cough, distemper, and parvovirus. 6. Dogs must be at least 4 months old to enter the Park. 7. Limit of 2 dogs per adult. 8. Dogs with illnesses and female dogs in heat are not permitted. 9. Collars must be worn by dogs at all times. When off-leash, spiked, pronged, or pinch collars are not allowed. 10. Dogs must be on leash when entering or leaving the park per Fort Knox Regulation 40-12. Handlers must carry a leash at all times while in the park. 11. Dog owners are responsible for pick-up, sealing, and disposal of waste into the designated containers. Handlers must carry a clean-up bag with them when they attend the park. 12. Dog owners are responsible for any damage caused to the park by their dogs. Owners are required to fill any holes that their dog digs.

13. All off-leash dogs must be under voice control of their owners. If you cannot control your dog off leash, keep your dog leashed at all times. 14. Handlers must have their dog in sight at all times. Dogs may not be left unattended. If a dog is left unattended, it will be considered abandoned and the owner will be subject to the penalties and sanctions found in Fort Knox Regulation 40-12. 15. Eating within the park is prohibited. a. Small training treats are permitted. b. Dog food, chews/rawhides are not permitted. c. Toys are permitted, but if the toy causes disruption, owners may be asked to leave the toy outside the park. 16. Dogs showing aggression toward people or other animals must be immediately restrained by the owner and must leave the park. Dogs known to exhibit vicious, fierce, aggressive or dangerous behavior are not allowed in the park at any time. Any incidents, fights, or attacks must be reported to Fort Knox authorities. 17. Shirt and shoes are required at all times. Those wishing to register their weapons can download the required form (Fort Knox Form 2759-E) from the Fort Knox webpage at: http://www.knox.army.mil/garrison/dhr/asd/forms.asp Information required to register a firearm is make, type (rifle, pistol, shotgun), caliber/gauge, model # and serial number. Registration of firearms is conducted through the DES Weapons Registration Office, BLDG 298 Gold Vault Rd, Mon-Fri (8 AM - 4 PM). For more information contact the Physical Security Section of DES at (502) 624-6118 or 6818. Once approved the form documenting firearms registration will be provided to the owner after registration and will be valid for three years. As a reminder, individuals must declare firearms at the Gate upon entry and have the registration document whenever the firearm is transported on the installation. They must present the registration permit to range/hunt control officials prior to conducting activities utilizing the firearm.

Water Park 5539 Chaffee Ave Ft Knox, KY 40121 The Fort Knox Water Park is an outdoor, splashing, good time and a great way to beat the heat. The Water Park has several unique activities designed for water fun. The 25 meter pool features zero depth entry, a 70-foot tube slide, a 70 foot open slide, a giant water cascading mushroom, water spouts, and a water challenge course with floating logs and lily pads. There is an enclosed wading pool and playground for toddler fun. A large sundeck with umbrellas and chairs surrounds the pool. Changing rooms, lockers, and a newly renovated snack bar are available.
