IMPORTANT:Beforeweldingonthismachine:To avoidcontrolcircuitdamage,turn theelectricaldisconnectswitchoff, disconnectwiringharnessand braidedgroundstrapfrom transmissioncontroller,and disconnectthewiringharnessfrom thedisplaymonitorpanelindash. Removebothcomponents. Goodweldsareimportant.Haveonly aqualifiedwelderrepairthe components.UseE7018electrodes. Beforewelding,cleanalldirtand paintfromtheweldareasandturn thebatterydisconnectswitchto "OFF".Connectthewelderground clampclosetoeachweldareaso electricalcurrentdoesnotpass throughanybearings.
2.Inspectrockguards(6and12)andtrackguides(5 and13)forwearanddamage.Repairorreplace partsasnecessary.
3.Applyhighstrengththreadlockandsealertocap screws(1,3,8and9).
4.Installinnerrockguard,guide,washersandcap screws.
5.Putcapscrewsthroughinnerguideorinnerguard, spacer,outerguideorouterguard,washer(10)and nut.Tightenthenutstospecification.

IMPORTANT:Metalfacesealscanbereusedifthey arenotwornordamaged.Ausedseal mustbekepttogetherasasetbecause ofwearpatternsonsealringface.
6.Removesnapring(D),sealretainer(C)andmetalface seals(E).Keepsealringstogetherasamatchedset withfacestogethertoprotectlappedsurfaces.Inspect metalfaceseal.(Seeprocedureinthisgroup.)
7.Removebearingcups(A).Inspectrollershellfor grooved,burredorgalledcondition.
8.Replacepartsasnecessary.

RemoveandInstallTrackRoller
CAUTION:Greaseintrackadjustercylinderis underextremepressure.DONOTremove greasefittingstoreleasetracktension.
1.Turncheckvalve(1)oneturncounterclockwiseto releasegreasefromtrackadjuster.
2.Putapieceofpipebetweenthesprocketandthetrack chainandrotatetracktoretracttheadjustingcylinderif required.
3.Removeinnerandouterrockguards.(SeeRemove andInstallRockGuardsandTrackGuidesinthis group.)
4.Raisecrawlerhighenoughtoremoverollers.Putshop standsundermachine.
CAUTION:Theapproximateweightoftrack rollersis59kg(129lb).
5.Removecapscrews(1)toremoveroller(2).
6.Allmachineshaveseventrackrollers.Singleand doubleflangerollersareusedalternatelystartingat idlerwithasingleflangeroller.
