1. „Polish Journal of Surgery” (Pol Przegl Chir) accepts for publication papers on surgery and related fields, including editorial and original works, articles on operative surgery and technical improvements, clinical observations, historical articles, review papers, book reviews, obituary notices, reports from journeys to foreign centres made by the holders of scholarship founded by the Polish Journal of Surgery, chronicle of the Association of Polish Surgeons, news bulletins and varia.

Editorial Policy
Wydawca „Polskiego Przeglądu Chirurgicznego” kieruje się generalnymi zasadami zawartymi w Deklaracji Helsińskiej i oczekuje od autorów badań, których wyniki mają ukazać się na łamach „Przeglądu” przestrzegania zawartych w niej praw. Autorzy prac wykorzystujących modele zwierzęce zobowiązani są do przestrzegania zasad formułowanych przez Interdisciplinary Principles and Guidelines for the Use of Animals in Research, Testing, and Education przyjętych przez New York Academy of Sciences Adhoc Committee on Animal Research. Wszelkie prace zgłaszane do publikacji, wymagające zgody Komisji Etycznej, odpowiedniej do lokalizacji terytorialnej, powinny zawierać takową zgodę. Zasady dopuszczenia prac do druku. Prace zgłaszane do publikacji w „Polskim Przeglądzie Chirurgicznym” są oceniane pod względem wartości merytorycznej i poznawczej. Pismo przewodnie załączone do pracy, podpisane przez jej autorów, oznacza równocześnie zgodę na wszczęcie procedury oceny pracy. Nadesłane prace podlegają wstępnej ocenie przez Kolegium Redakcyjne. Prace niezgodne z Regulaminem Ogłaszania Prac nie podlegają dalszej ocenie i zostają odesłane autorom. W przypadku wstępnej kwalifikacji praca zostaje opatrzona numerem referencyjnym, który zostaje przekazany autorom jako odno-
„Polish Journal of Surgery” editors endorse the general rules of the Declaration of Helsinki and expect that all investigations involving humans will have been performed in accordance with these principles. For animal experimentation reported in the journal, it is expected that investigators will have observed the Interdisciplinary Principles and Guidelines for the Use of Animals in Research, Testing, and Education issued by the New York Academy of Sciences Adhoc Committee on Animal Research. All human and animal studies must have been approved by the investigators Institutional review board. Review process. Manuscripts are evaluated on the basis that they present new insights to the investigated topic, are likely to contribute to a research progress or change in clinical practice or in thinking about a disease. The signature of the corresponding author on the letter of submission signifies that these conditions have been fulfilled. Received manuscripts are first examined by the editors. Incomplete packages or manuscripts not prepared in the advised style will be sent back to authors without scientific review.
