St Hilda's News The oak seat was dedicated at the leavers service and Mathew Cook cut the red, white and blue ribbon which was tied around it. It looks very grand where it is placed over looking the dale. The 2 oak notice boards have also been erected too. Thank you Maggie Wood would like to thank all those who have hooted and waved(and offered a lift) whilst she has been training for her walks this year. In particular she would like to thank all those who, by sponsoring her, have helped raise over £600 for breast cancer charities, when she did the Moonwalk in May, and over £400 for forces charities, via the Undentable Trust (suppporting the Earl Haig fund and Help for Heroes) when she climbed the Yorkshire Three Peaks in July.

On Friday 3 August, after a Chapel Service conducted by the Rev. Lisa Quarmby, Kathy Leckenby was laid to rest in St Hilda's Churchyard. As Kathy left the Chapel, Status Quo was played as Kathy was a great fan of this rock group. Sincere condolences go to Marion , Robert, Philip, Paula and Paris.
