“Murray’s ultimate respect for love and marriage and the belief that when people stop growing they die, makes Wallflowering a fascinating and rewarding play.”

HIT Productions returns with a new production of Wallflowering, by awardwinning Australian playwright Peta Murray, a delightfully amusing and poignant story about marriage, happiness and the pursuit of the perfect foxtrot, featuring world-class ballroom dancing. Peg and Cliff Small are an ordinary, suburban, middleaged couple... who once were prize-winning ballroom dancers. Wallflowering traces the evolution of their relationship from its halcyon, dancing days – including younger versions of themselves performing world-class dance routines – to their present-day struggles with adapting to a rapidly changing world. Funny, moving and at times dazzling, Wallflowering is must-see entertainment, directed by AACTA-award winning Denny Lawrence (My Brilliant Divorce, Shirley Valentine). Date/Time: Tuesday 28 July, 1pm & 7.30pm Duration: 90 mins (no interval) Venue: Shirley Burke Theatre 64 Parkers Rd, Parkdale Seating: Allocated Tickets: Full $45 Concession $35 Group 6+ $35 Book now: 9556 4440 kingstonarts.com.au
