It brings me great joy to extend a warm welcome to all students, coaches, parents, and supporters participating in the 2024 Under 11 BSME Games at Kings’ School Al Barsha. BSME stands as a remarkable organization, fostering collaboration among students and schools, offering invaluable opportunities that transcend individual institutional capacities. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to BSME for their ongoing dedication to enhancing the educational and sporting experiences of schools in our region.
At Kings’, we firmly believe that school sports transcend the boundaries of the playing field or court. It is on these grounds that students learn the importance of teamwork, dedication, and perseverance lessons that extend far beyond the confines of the classroom. Through the crucible of competition, students identify their strengths, confront weaknesses, and cultivate a profound sense of self-belief. Beyond the physical benefits, school sports instill a sense of camaraderie, nurturing a healthy and supportive community. In the realm of education, the enduring lessons acquired on the sports field serve as an enduring blueprint for success, both on and off the playing field.

Sport forms an integral part of a pupil’s life at Brighton College. All of our pupils experience a wide variety of different sporting activities through PE lessons, as well as the diverse after-school activities programme that the College has to offer.
The ethos of the Sports Department is sport for all, with a focus on progression and enjoyment. Our main team sports are football, cricket, athletics, netball, swimming, touch rugby, volleyball, basketball, cricket and badminton. We believe that every child should be given the opportunity to develop their potential to the very best of their abilities. All pupils are encouraged to pursue sports in which they are talented or interested. In achieving this we hope that our pupils leave us with a love of sport and a desire to continue participating that will stay with them throughout their lives.
