he four men accused in the Shakti Mills photojournalist gang-rape case were successfully found guilty by a Mumbai Sessions Court thanks to the dedicated work of the state-run Kalina Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). The prosecution primarily relied on the forensic evidence analysed by the FSL team as there were no eyewitnesses to the incident. The forensics team gathered 22 DNA samples from the victim's clothes and body and also from her dupatta which they recovered from the crime scene.
