The News-Zone 2025 is organized by Danish Care in collaboration with DokkX Aarhus and the Social and Housing Authority . All exhibitors at Health & Rehab 2025 have the opportunity to present their news in the News Zone and simultaneously participate in the competition for the “News of the Year” award
Selection of “News of the Year”
The “News of the Year” award is given to a product in the News Zone that has news value, utility value, special features, and enhances the quality of life for individual users, while also making a difference in the everyday lives of both users and staff
The selection of “News of the Year” will take place in the News-Zone in the Center Hall on Tuesday, March 4th at 16:30.
Judging Committee
An independent judging committee will select the “News of the Year” from the registered products on the first day of the fair. The committee is composed of representatives from health professionals, the municipal sector, design and innovation, the education sector, and user groups The committee includes:

The background for the development of the Nordic Sensi®Bed (The Bed Rocker): Organic delirium (known as delirium) is an acute condition with attention disorders and cognitive impairment It often worsens in the evening and at night The condition is very common among acutely ill patients and occurs in 25-50% of elderly hospitalized patients The incidence is highest among the most fragile and seriously ill patients and is present in all hospital departments . Patients with delirium have a poor prognosis, including increased one-year mortality, prolonged hospitalization, higher risk of complications during hospitalization, functional decline, increased care burden, and cognitive dysfunction after discharge National clinical guidelines strongly recommend using non-pharmacological interventions in the care of patients with delirium Thus, delirium represents a significant socioeconomic problem.
Purpose of the Product
Based on Wellness Nordic’s and hospitals’ previous experiences with sensory stimulation for their patients, the purpose of the product is to contribute to vestibular stimulation (hereafter VS) with the bed rocker, which can induce calm and sleep and thereby treat delirium

The Product:
The bed rocker is a newly developed product that uses sensory stimulation, including vestibular stimulation (VS), to induce calm and relaxation and alleviate motor restlessness, aggressive behavior, psychological imbalance, and sleep deprivation
The bed rocker is placed directly under hospital beds, elevating them so the entire bed can rock The patient (who is often immobile) can remain in bed with pressure relief The bed rocker operates with gentle horizontal/vertical (pendulum-like) rocking motions that continuously run for either 30 or 60 minutes The amplitude of the rocking movement is approximately 12 cm in length, and the bed is lifted about 3 cm off the floor. The product is based on Likak electrical components and is equipped with battery operation to ensure emergency functionality
