EXCELLENCE IN ART SINCE 1963

Dear Friends, This September we are set to host a full schedule of events at the gallery, all coinciding with the annual Fall Arts Festival. With such a concentration of major art events happening all around town, we always endeavor to present a strong grouping of shows that have wide appeal to a large segment of art collectors. We are very pleased to announce that we will be hosting our first ever show in Jackson for renown figurative painter Morgan Weistling! The show is comprised of a select group of new works that complement the release of his book, A Brush With History. Morgan, a two-time winner of the Prix De West Purchase Award, is undeniably a master storyteller. Each painting is a narrative that engages the viewer and relays his own personal feelings about life, family, history and shared human experiences. Of course, wildlife is a genre that is especially in high demand here in the Jackson Hole art market. With that in mind, we are also hosting individual showcases this year for wildlife painters Adam Smith and Dustin Van Wechel, two of the most sought-after wildlife painters in the country. It’s a great mix, as Adam brings a realistic look to his detailed animal paintings, whereas Dustin brings a more painterly approach to his subjects. Also, for the first time, we are featuring the bird paintings of Oregon based painter Jhenna Quinn Lewis whose meditative and detailed compositions blend realism and the tenets of Japanese wabi sabi with a sense of light like the old masters. As well, we are hosting our first show for Seattle based mixed media artist Sueellen Ross who combines her passion for producing art with her love for animals to create works of exceptionally strong design and subtle wit.

The Ducklings, oil, 36 x 36 inches, $60,000

Also on tap is our 12th annual Jackson Hole Art Auction, defined by the high standard of works offered in a variety of genres including wildlife, sporting, figurative, landscape and Western art. The JHAA is a signature event of Jackson Hole’s annual Fall Arts Festival and we look forward to having you attend. Maryvonne Leshe - Managing Partner
