01 Growing Connections
Fire Station & Community Center
Growing Connections was an infill project located in New York City. We were tasked with designing a new Firestation with a community center component. This design combines a community greenhouse with the firestation.
The idea was to create a space where firefighters and the community could interract in a way that fostered growth and healing; a contrast to the setting of death and disaster that more often necessitates interraction between both parties.
02 Whale Poise
Balandra
Beach Ecological Center
Whale Poise is a broject located in Baja Mexico along Balandra Beach. The task was to create an ecological center to welcome and educate visitors who were interested in learning about the m abundant marine and plant life in that region.
A focus in this site and consequently the design, is that this location is where sperm whale mothers migrate to to birth their children every two years. This fact inspired the form of the building as it mimics the momevement of mother and child whale through the ocean.
03 Le
Costil Construction Technology Research
This project was an investigative research project on the construction techniques used to build the Le Costil Residence located in France.
We sourced information from articles available illustrations and construction photographs of the site to come up with our analysis of how the building was constructed. The project culminated with a simulation of the construction process where we modeled a section replica of the building at 1-1/2” = 1’ scale.

Layered Ascent
Artist Live-Work Residence
This project focused on the creation of a live-work program that would reside on a small infill lot located in Harlem, New York.
The design prioritized creating views for artists and of artists to invite prospective buyers of their art into their creation process and draw them all the way to the top where the main gallery was located. This concept manifested a design that relied on elements that strategically created or obscured visibility at the artist’s behest.
05 Mixed-Use Complex
Austin Mixed-Use Complex
This drawing was created while in an intern position. The request was to create a drawing that would market the diverse functions that the building was designed to house. The building was located Along Austin Street in Brooklyn, New York.
The design included commercial properties on the first floor icluding a boxing gym, a highschool on the second floor, a kindergarten on the third floor and an NYPD office on the fouth floor.
