s te p 2 Depending on the container, make sure you tape a lid down or make your own by wrapping paper over the hole and rubber band so it doesn't come off.

Friendship Flowers _________________________________________ Friendships can grow like a garden! There are so many ways that make YOU a great friend. Create this craft celebrating all those reasons!

step 1: Use construction paper to cut out a flower shape similar to this one with big petals!

Ice Cream Cones _________________________________________ We think friendship is pretty SWEET. Whip up this recipe to share with your BFF.

INGREDIENTS Box cake mix (strawberry, funfetti, chocolate, chocolate chip, vanilla, etc.)

9 X 13 rectangle baking dish Foil Piping bag or Ziplock bag Vanilla icing Sprinkles Ice cream cones (not waffle!)

DIRECTIONS Cover the rectangle baking dish with foil. Poke holes about the size of the ice cream cones and push through the cones so they are standing upright safely. Mix the box cake mix as directed.

Use one flavor or multiple to get a variety! Pour the cake batter into the cone halfway. Don't over fill! Bake as directed. Once you pull them out of the oven, carefully poke a few holes at the bottom of the cone to prevent the cake from making the cone soggy. Use a piping bag or scoop icing into a Ziplock bag and tie off at top and cut a corner to create your own! Pipe vanilla icing onto the cake once cooled. Decorate with sprinkles!

DIY Frame _________________________________________ Craft a frame to display a picture with your besties!

Supplies popsicle sticks crayons or markers paint stickers jewels glue glitter paintbrush friendship photo

Instructions 1. Start by taking four popsicle sticks and gluing them together into a square or rectangle shape. Let it dry completely before moving forward with the next step!

2. Use crayons, markers, or paint to decorate the popsicle stick frame.

Add glitter, jewels, sequins, and stickers, too! Try adding "BFF" to the bottom of the frame.

3. Once the entire frame is dry and decorated, tape a photo into the frame.

4. BONUS: Glue on magnet pieces to the back of the photo and frame to display proudly on a refrigerator!

Friendship Painting _________________________________________ Let's paint together! Grab the supplies and take turns creating a painting with your best sidekick.

Supplies: multiple colors of paint white construction paper paintbrush glitter stickers tape

How to Create: Tape together multiple sheets of white construction paper to create a big canvas. Take turns with your bestie creating a masterpiece together. Use each other's favorite colors and work together as a team. Use glitter, stickers, and other embellishments, too!

Pen Pal _________________________________________ Create a story about you and your friend. Make their day by sending it in the mail to your best pen pal in the whole world!

Q: WHAT DO YOU THINK MAKES THE PLAYGROUND SO SPECIAL? I think having the ability to log in and get a virtual classroom experience with items we have at home is so awesome. It’s also even more special that my daughter is getting to experience some of my favorite classes to teach when I worked at Kidville.

Q: WHAT IS MOST SURPRISING TO YOU ABOUT TAKING KIDVILLE CLASSES ONLINE? I wasn’t sure how it would be because these classes are so interactive and fast paced in the classroom. Even still, I was pleasantly surprised that we can get a very similar experience without all the equipment and in-person interaction.

Q: WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR OR YOUR KIDDO’S FAVORITE CLASS MOMENTS AND WHY? My daughter loves all the classes Maker Morgan teaches! She enjoys the "circle circle" song and she especially enjoys show and shine and seeing herself spotlighted throughout the classes. I love that she’s gotten so acquainted with the schedule and seeing some of the same friends at multiple classes on The Playground.
