Destin commun Notre aventure continue. A chaque nouveau numéro, nous définissons un peu plus l’espace, nous délimitons plus clairement notre sujet : la décoration de la chambre d’enfant. Ce troisième numéro rentre discrètement dans leur univers où les parents, amateurs de déco ou véritables designers, laissent libre cours à leur créativité. Aménagements design, intemporel, ludique, vintage… tous les goûts sont dans la nature et la durabilité est au centre de toutes les préoccupations. Et nous n’échappons pas à la règle en vous proposant essentiellement des focus sur des marques qui s’inscrivent dans cette démarche éco-responsable.

Et une fois n’est pas coutume, il y a toutes ces belles rencontres qui nous inspirent et qui subliment nos pages.

Un numéro dédié à ces petites mains qu’on aimerait voir un peu plus rentrer dans la lumière. Eux qui s’adonnent à leur passion tout comme nous à la nôtre.

COMMON DESTINY Our adventure continues. With each new issue, we reconfigure the space a little bit more, we define our subject more clearly: the decoration of the child’s room. This third issue discreetly enters their universe where parents, decoration enthusiasts, or real designers let their creativity run free. Design, timeless, playful, vintage arrangements ... all tastes in natural items and sustainability is at the center of it all. And we are no exception to the rule by essentially offering you to focus on brands that are part of this ecoresponsible approach.

And as usual, there are all these beautiful encounters that inspire us and make our pages come alive.

An issue dedicated to the little hands that we would like to see a bit more. They who devote themselves to their passion just like us to our passions.

SERGENT PAPER X WOLFNOODLE, LES MURS DEVIENNENT ART La rentrée s’annonce terriblement arty avec le lancement de la première collection kids de l’éditeur d’œuvre d’art sur papier en série limitée, Sergent Paper en collaboration avec l’artiste Wolfnoodle. Mêler les univers, multiplier les idées, expérimenter les styles, cultiver la singularité, voici en quelques mots ce qui se dégage de cette collaboration à la fois esthétique et minimaliste, forte, joyeuse et pop. Sammy, la créatrice du Studio Wolfnoodle tire l’essentiel de son inspiration des jouets vintage pour enfants.

Cette passionnée par la mode ludique et grande amoureuse de Paris, utilise souvent dans ses créations des mots français, des mots de tous les jours mais également des mots qui ont du sens pour inspirer les petits mômes que nous sommes tous. Après tout, ces affiches d’art certifiées, imprimées à 300 exemplaires chacune, peuvent s’exposer sur les murs de toutes les pièces de la maison.

The start of the new school year is shaping up to be incredibly arty with the launch of the first kids’ collection from the publisher of a limited-edition artwork on paper, Sergent Paper, in collaboration with the artist Wolfnoodle. Blending universes, multiplying ideas, experimenting with styles, cultivating singularity, here in a few words is what emerges from this collaboration that is both aesthetic and minimalist: powerful, cheerful, and pop. Sammy, the creator of Studio Wolfnoodle draws most of her inspiration from vintage children’s toys. She is passionate about playful fashion and is very much in love with Paris. Her creations often feature French words, everyday words but also words that are meaningful to inspire the little kids that we all are. After all, these certified art posters, printed in 300 copies each, can be displayed on the walls of any room in the house. Unique artwork for a unique decor. On vous découvre de plus en plus sur les réseaux sociaux, on ne vous connait pas beaucoup, qui êtes-vous Sandrina ?

Je suis une maman de 30 ans et des poussières d’étoiles. J’ai deux enfants, un garçon et une fille. Je vis en famille à Lyon, où je travaille également à mes créations en teintures végétales, au sein même de la maison en rêvant d’avoir un jour mon propre atelier. La création a toujours été en moi… j’ai été inspirée par les ciseaux noirs et gigantesques de tailleur de mon grand-père, les fleurs que ma grand-mère choisissait minutieusement… autant d’images et de souvenirs qui m’ont incité à créer mon propre studio… WOOLA LA !

ment quelques conseils en stylisme. C’était ma façon à moi de garder un pied dans la créativité. La curiosité peut être un vilain défaut mais en ce qui me concerne, c’est un véritable moteur car elle m’a amené à explorer plusieurs processus de création et a ouvert les champs des possibles. Et c’est à la naissance de mon fils – c’est très bateau, je sais – que j’ai commencé à créer des objets pour décorer sa chambre : tapisserie, mobile…

Pinterest a joué un rôle essentiel en me faisant découvrir le tissage et le macramé. Puis j’explore enfin la teinture végétale.

Tout devient alors une évidence… c’est ainsi que j’entre « à mon humble niveau » dans la lumière.

On ne nait pas teinturière, ce n’est pas le métier dont on parle quand on est petite, quel a été votre parcours ?

J’ai derrière moi un passé de responsable de plusieurs boutiques, et de par cette fonction j’ai été amenée à rencontrer des marques, des créateurs et de faire des sélections de produits.

Ce qui m‘a beaucoup apporté. En parallèle, j’ai toujours fait pas mal de photos entre autres pour mes amis et je donnais égale-

Vous faites partie de cette génération très préoccupée par l’environnement, l’écologie… comment le revendiquez-vous dans votre travail, vos créations ?

Tout d’abord par le choix de ma matière première. Mes tissus proviennent de stock qui ont pu être récupéré et non détruits.

Quelle chance ! Car cela me permet de travailler de belles matières à des prix forcément plus accessibles. J’aime l’idée

We see you more and more on social media, but don’t know you very well, who are you Sandrina?

I am a 30-year-old mother and stardust. I am a mother of two, a boy and a girl. I live with my family in Lyon, where I also work on my creations in plant-based dyes, in the very heart of the house, dreaming of one day owning my own workshop. I have always been creative... my inspiration came from my grandfather’s gigantic black tailor’s scissors, the flowers my grandmother carefully picked... there are so many images and memories that inspired me to create my own unique design studio... WOOLA LA !

friends and given some advice in styling. That was my way of keeping one foot in creativity. Curiosity can be a nasty flaw, but for me, it’s a real driving force as it led me to explore several creative processes, opening up new possibilities. And it was at the birth of my son - it’s very boating, I know - that I started creating objects to decorate his room: tapestry, movables... Pinterest played a major role in helping me discover weaving and macramé. Then I finally started to explore vegetable dyeing.

Everything then became a matter of course... this is how I came “at my humble level” into the limelight.

No one is born a dyer, it is not the type of profession you talk about as a child, what was your career path?

I have been the manager of several shops in the past, and through the job I met brands, designers and made product selections. This taught me a lot. At the same time, I have always taken a lot of photos for my

You are part of a generation very concerned about the environment, ecology... how do you express this in your work, in your creations?

It begins with my choice of raw material. My fabrics come from recycled stock, salvaged from destruction. Such luck! Because this allows me to work with beautiful materials at more affordable prices. I like the idea

que rien ne se perd et se recrée, c’est devenu mon mantra, et je travaille et transforme les draps anciens que je chine et les vêtements qui proviennent de boutiques de seconde-main.

Faire du upcycling est ma priorité car cela procure indéniablement à mes créations, un supplément d’âme.

Vous êtes une passionnée des matières, quelle est celle qui a votre préférence ? Et pourquoi ?

La soie est ma matière de prédilection. C’est une matière que je chéris. Sa brillance est un atout. Par son aspect, elle prend la couleur d’une manière diffuse, et se révèle à chaque bain différemment. Chaque création est une aventure parfois en terrain inconnue.

Votre avez baptisé votre studio : WOOLA LA, on y trouve une consonance enfantine, ludique… Pourquoi un tel nom ? Et que signifie-t-il ?

Comme j’ai commencé par la tapisserie, j’ai donc utilisé de la laine d’où le mot WOOL. Et mon expression favorite a toujours that nothing is lost but recreated, it is now my mantra. I work and transform old sheets I find and clothes from second-hand shops. Upcycling is a priority for me as it gives my creations an undeniable new soul.

You are passionate about materials, which is your favorite and why?

My favorite is silk. It’s a material I cherish. Its sheen is an asset. By its texture, it takes on colors in a diffuse way, revealing itself differently with each stroke. Each creation is an adventure sometimes into unknown territory.

You named your studio: WOOLA LA, it sounds childlike, playful…

Why such a name? And what does it mean?

Since I started with tapestry, I used wool, hence the word WOOL. And my favorite expression has always been Oh là là. The combination of the two makes WOOLA LA. And it fits pretty well.

Vous avez récemment travaillé au lancement d’un projet très particulier avec la marque Shaisho, pouvez-vous nous en parler ?

J’ai osé prendre contact avec Pauline dont je suivais depuis longtemps le travail… très esthétique. J’adore son univers très léché, certes pour enfant, mais qui s’intègre merveilleusement dans un environnement adulte. Quand j’ai vu ses créations, je me suis dit « il y là quelque chose à faire ». J’ai tout de suite imaginé ses carottes teintes avec la technique de l’éco-print, une technique qui consiste à figer dans les fibres du tissus les couleurs de la nature : fleurs, fruits, légumes. La rencontre s’est faite, je ne sais pas si à ce moment là elle avait en tête la teinture végétale pour son fameux panier Mafé, mais nous y avons collaboré ensemble et je crois que le résultat est tout simplement audacieux.

You recently collaborated on the launch of a very special project with the Shaisho brand, can you tell us about it?

I dared to get in touch with Pauline whose work I had been following for a long time... very aesthetic. I love her very polished universe for children, but which integrates wonderfully into adult environments. When I saw her creations, I said to myself “there’s something to be done here”.

I immediately imagined her carrots dyed with the eco-print technique, a technique that entails freezing natural colors such as flowers, fruits, and vegetables into the fibers of fabric. I don’t know if at that time she had in mind vegetable dyeing for her famous Mafé basket, but we worked on it together and I think the result is quite simply bold.

La déco semble être aussi un joli terrain de jeu pour vous, expliquez-nous...

Je teins effectivement des draps toujours anciens, des coussins en coton ou en soie. J’ai aussi sorti une petite gamme de housse de couette pour enfant en utilisant la technique du Shibori, une technique séculaire japonaise qui permet d’obtenir des motifs uniques et très graphiques. La déco comme la mode sont deux univers qui m’attirent et que j’explore forcément à travers mes différentes créations.

Est-ce que dans l’univers de la déco enfant, il y a une marque qui vous attire et avec laquelle il y aurait comme une évidence à collaborer ?

Après Shaisho, une autre marque m’attire énormément. Et c’est Habibi Café. J’ai plein de belles idées pour donner de belles couleurs naturelles à ces jolis sur-matelas. Encore une belle manière d’associer la nature, la mode et la déco.

Et enfin, pour notre magazine et ses lecteurs avez-vous une petite exclu à nous confier ? On vous promet, on la garde que pour nous !

Eh bien, je n’ai pas de nouveaux projets dans l’univers de l’enfant, mais la maman est aussi essentielle et mérite de se faire plaisir. Alors pour elle j’ai crée des kimonos qui seront en ligne sur ma boutique dès septembre. Des kimonos uniques bien évidemment ! Signés WOOLA LA !

Decoration also seems to be a nice playground for you, tell us about it…

I do indeed dye old sheets, cotton, or silk cushions. I have also released a small range of children’s duvet covers using the Shibori technique, a centuries-old Japanese technique that allows you to obtain unique and very graphic patterns. Decoration and fashion are two universes that appeal to me and that I inevitably explore through my different creations.

In the world of children’s decoration, is there a brand you are attracted to and with which you would obviously like to work?

After Shaisho, there is another brand that I am very attracted to. It’s Habibi Café. I have a lot of great ideas to give beautiful natural colors to these lovely mattress toppers. Another great way to combine nature, fashion, and decoration.

And finally, for our magazine and its readers, do you have a little exclusive to share with us? We promise, we’ll keep it all to ourselves!

Well, I don’t have any new projects in the children’s world, but mothers are also important and deserve to have fun. So, I have created kimonos for moms, which will be online on my shop in September. Unique kimonos of course! signed WOOLA LA!

Studio Gonen Design

“L’émotion comme étoile directrice” — Orly Gonen — Pour la première fois, nous accueillons dans nos pages un projet de designer d’intérieur. C’est le Studio Gonen Design qui ouvre la danse avec une réalisation des plus inspirantes, qui a vu le jour en Israël. Deux chambres d’enfant, une pour fille et une pour garçon, deux lieux dans l’air du temps, pleins d’audace, chaleureux, décorés avec brio et meublés de pièces design. D’un côté la vie de famille et de l’autre son espace propre où se réfugier pour rêver, travailler, jouer et buller.

Ce projet est une fine lecture des besoins d’espace des enfants et surtout de leur utilisation.

“Emotion as a guiding star” — Orly Gonen — We welcome in our pages for the first time an interior designer’s project. Studio Gonen Design opens the floor with a very inspiring realization born in Israel. Two children’s rooms, one for girls and the other for boys, two places in the spirit of the times, bold, warm, brilliantly decorated and furnished with designer pieces. Family life on the one hand, and on the other, one’s own space in which to take refuge, dream, work, play and relax.

This project is an insight into the space needs of children and above all their use of it.

Ce n’est pas la petite déco qui manque aujourd’hui sur le marché. Entre les sites spécialisés et les boutiques dédiées, les parents ont un large choix. Pour créer dans la chambre d’enfant un univers cosy où il fait bon buller et rêver, il faut privilégier la qualité, l’éco-responsabilité, l’émotion et le savoir-faire. Toujours en quête d’une pièce imparfaite, atypique, insolite, tous les synonymes du mot bizarre sont bons pour désigner les collections que Daniela sélectionne avec tendresse et amour. La boutique renferme telle une malle aux mille trésors, des marques durables et désirables, toutes choisies avec le plus grand soin. Nous voilà outre Rhin, en Allemagne… en visite chez Eva Klaus, une maman dont le passe-temps favori est la décoration… non la re-décoration de la chambre de ses kids, une fille de 4 ans et un garçon de 18 mois.

Extrêmement lumineuses, les deux chambres regorgent de trésors à l’esprit vintage et nordique.

MEMPHIS STYLE Mouvement emblématique du design des années 1980, le style Memphis a réveillé les intérieurs dans le vent durant une dizaine d’années avant de devenir obsolète.

Aujourd’hui, il opère son grand retour chez les « branchés » du monde entier.

Caractérisé par une explosion de couleurs tendres et de matériaux d’avant-garde, le style Memphis mixe les formes géométriques avec les coloris corail, vert, jaune, rose fluo… De supers couleurs pour une chambre d’enfants tonique et décalée.

Fondée à Milan en Italie au débit des années 1980, sous l’impulsion du designer Ettore Sottsass, le groupe Memphis a offert une bulle de fantaisie à l’univers du mobilier. Founded in Milan, Italy in the 1980s, under the leadership of designer Ettore Sottsass, the Memphis group offered a fantasy bubble to the world of furniture. The Memphis wave is once again in the air with the return of the terrazo and the use of the flagship colors of the Memphis movement in trendy boutiques such as Kitsuné Paris and Maison Plisson. Un livre d’art qui s’accroche ? Quelle belle idée ! C’est une superbe manière de proposer aux enfants une initiation à l’art : d’abord on feuillette l’ouvrage et on découvre les différents types de peintures, de courants, grâce aux explications (un mot sur l’œuvre, un mot sur l’artiste). Ensuite on peut détacher les pages qu’on a préférées et les accrocher au mur de sa chambre. C’est idéal pour que l’enfant s’approprie ces œuvres. De Keith Haring à Matisse en passant par Chagall ou Kandinsky, les œuvres choisies ont été sélectionnées pour leur gaité, leurs couleurs, bref, leur accessibilité pour les jeunes amateurs ou les petits curieux.

Si on traîne sur Instagram, on a forcément croisé la mode de la punch needle, cette technique de broderie qui donne un résultat tout bouclé et un effet cocooning assuré.
