KHS students viewing solar eclipse at maximum using NASA approved glasses provided by Mrs. Sinclair's Astronomy class. The next time these students will be able to view a solar eclipse in Oklahoma will be in the year 2024, when most of them will be in their early-20’s.

New FACS Teacher at KHS Beth Ireland joined the KHS Staff as the new Family and Consumer Science teacher this year. A native of Kansas, Miss Ireland made the move to Oklahoma to be with her fiance in Okeene. Previous to becoming a Yellow Jacket, our new FACS teacher taught for seven years in Eureka, Kansas. Before that, she worked as an Exension Educator for FACS and 4-H Youth development. Growing up on a ranch in Yates Center, Kansas, Miss Ireland went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in FACS Education from Kansas State University, followed by a Master's in Career and Technical Education from Pittsburg State in Kansas.
