(Californiaownerísemissionswarrantyiscoveredelsewhere)

NewHollandwarrantsthatyournew1996andlaterheavy-dutyoff-roaddieselenginewasdesigned,built,andequippedtoconformtoapplicable U.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgencyregulationsforaperiodofuseoffiveyearsor3,000hoursofoperation,whicheveroccursfirst.

Thenewmodelyear,classofdieselengine,andemissionapplicationdeterminationforyourengineareidentifiedontheemissioncontrol informationlabelaffixedtothetopofyourengineísrockerarmcover.Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedatethenewequipmentissoldtothefirst retailpurchaser.

Anyemissioncontrolsystempartswhichareprovendefectiveduringnormalusewillberepairedorreplacedduringthewarrantyperiod.The warrantyrepairsandservicewillbeperformedbyanyauthorizedNewHollanddealeratthedealerísplaceofbusiness,withnochargeforpartsor labor(includingdiagnosis).

Astheengineowner,youareresponsibletoperformalltherequiredmaintenancelistedinyourownerísmanual.NewHollandwillnotdenyan emissionwarrantyclaimsolelybecauseyouhavenorecordofmaintenance;however,aclaimmaybedeniedifyourfailuretoperform maintenanceresultedinthefailureofawarrantedpart.Receiptscoveringregularmaintenanceshouldberetainedintheeventofquestionsand thesereceiptsshouldbepassedontoeachsubsequentowneroftheengine.

ItisrecommendedreplacementpartsusedformaintenanceorrepairsbeNewHollandServicePartstomaintainthequalityoriginallydesigned intoyouremissioncertifiedengine.Theuseofnon-NewHollandpartsdoesnotinvalidatethewarrantyonothercomponentsunlesstheuseof suchpartscausesdamagetowarrantedparts.

NewHollandwishestoassuretheemissioncontrolsystemswarrantyisbeingproperlyadministered.Ifyoubelieveyouhavenotreceivedthe serviceentitledtounderthiswarranty,youshouldcontactthenearestNewHollandBranchOfficeforassistance.

YourWarrantyRightsandObligations

TheCaliforniaAirResourcesBoardandNewHollandarepleasedtoexplaintheemissioncontrolsystemwarrantyonyour engine.InCalifornia, new1997andlaterheavy-dutyoff-roadenginesfrom100to150HPmustbedesigned,built,andequippedtomeettheStateísstringentanti-smog standards.NewHollandmustwarranttheemissioncontrol systemonyour enginefortheperiodsoftimelistedbelow,providedtherehasbeenno abuse,neglect,orimpropermaintenanceofyourengine.

Youremissioncontrolsystemincludespartssuchasthefuelinjection systemandtheairinduction system.

Whereawarrantableconditionexists,NewHollandwillrepairyourheavy-dutyoff-roadengineatnocosttoyou,includingdiagnosis,parts,andlabor.

ManufacturerísWarrantyCoverage:

The1997andlaterheavy-dutyoff-roadenginesarewarrantedfromtheoriginaldateofdeliveryforfiveyearsor3,000hoursofoperation, whicheveroccursfirst.Ifanyemission-relatedpartonyourengineisdefective,thepartwillberepairedorreplacedbyNewHolland.

OwnerísWarrantyResponsibilities:

D Astheheavy-dutyoff-roadengineowner,youareresponsiblefortheperformanceoftherequiredmaintenancelistedinyourownerís manual.NewHollandrecommendsthatyouretainallreceiptscoveringmaintenanceonyourheavy-dutyoff-roadengine,butNewHolland cannotdenywarrantysolelyforthelackofreceiptsorforyourfailuretoensuretheperformanceofallscheduledmaintenance.

D Astheheavy-dutyoff-roadengineowner,youshould,however,beawarethatNewHollandmaydenyyouwarrantycoverageifyour heavy-dutyoff-roadengineoraparthasfailedduetoabuse,neglect,impropermaintenance,orunapprovedmodifications.

D Yourengineisdesignedtooperateoncommerciallyavailabledieselfuelonly.Useofanyotherfuelmayresultinyourenginenolonger operatingincompliancewithCaliforniaísemissionsrequirements.

D Youareresponsibleforinitiatingthewarrantyprocess.TheARBsuggeststhatyoupresentyourheavy-dutyoff-roadenginetoaNew Hollanddealerassoonasaproblemexists.Thewarrantyrepairsshouldbecompletedbythedealerasexpeditiouslyaspossible.

Ifyouhavequestionsregardingyourwarrantyrightsandresponsibilities,youshouldcontactyourBranchOfficeattheaddressandphonenumber listedontheOwnerAssistancepageofyourequipmentsoperatormanual.

D Priortotheexpirationofthewarranty,youmustgivenoticeofanyfailureofanemissioncontrolwarrantedpart.Suchnoticemustbegivento NewHollandoranauthorizeddealer,andyoumustdelivertheenginetotherepairlocation.

Anyreplacementpart,equivalentinperformanceanddurability,maybeusedintheperformanceofanymaintenanceorrepairsandmustbe providedwithoutchargetotheowner.TheuseofthesepartsdoesnotreducethewarrantyobligationsofNewHolland.However,NewHolland recommendstheuseofnew,genuineNewHollandservicepartsorNewHollandapprovedrebuiltpartsandassemblies.NewHollandalso recommendsthattheenginebeservicedbyaNewHollandauthorizeddealer.

NewHollandResponsibilities

Warrantyworkwillbeprovidedatnochargetotheowneratanyauthorizeddealer,usingnewgenuineNewHollandservicepartsorNewHolland approvedrebuiltpartsorassemblies..

Theownerwillnotbechargedfordiagnosticlaborwhichleadstothedeterminationthatawarrantedpartisdefective,ifthediagnosticworkwas performedatawarrantystation.

NewHollandisliablefordamagestootherenginecomponentscausedbythefailureunderwarrantyofanywarrantedpart.

WarrantyLimitations

NewHollandisnotresponsibleforfailuresresultingfromabuseorneglectbyowneroroperator.

NewHollandwarrantstotheultimatepurchaserandeachsubsequentpurchaserthattheengineisdesigned,built,andequippedsoastoconform withallapplicableregulationsadoptedbytheAirResourcesBoard,andthatitisfreefromdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshipwhichcausethe failureofawarrantedpart.

Anywarrantedpartwhichisnotscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenance,orwhichisscheduledonlyforregularinspectiontotheeffect ofìrepairorreplaceasnecessaryîiswarrantedforthewarrantyperiod.

Anywarrantedpartwhichisscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenanceiswarrantedfortheperiodoftimepriortothefirstscheduled replacementpointforthatpart.

NewHollandisliablefordamagestootherenginecomponentscausedbythefailureunderwarrantyofanywarrantedpart.

Yourtractorisanadvancedmachine,fittedwithan electro--hydrauliccontrolsystem.Careshouldbe takenwhencleaningthetractor,especiallyifapressurisedwatercleanerisused.

IMPORTANTECOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS

Soil,airandwaterareessentialelementsforagricultureandforlifeoningeneral.Iflocallegislationdoes notcontrolthetreatmentofcertainsubstances,the productionofwhichisnecessitatedbyadvanced technologies,productsderivedfromchemicaland petrochemicalproductsmustbeusedanddisposed ofaccordingtotherulesofcommonsense.

Thefollowingrecommendationsmaybeofhelp:

J Findoutwhattherelevantlegislationinyourcountrystipulates.

J Askyoursuppliersoflubricants,oils,fuels,anti-freeze,detergents,etc.,forinformationontheeffects oftheseproductsonhumansandtheenvironmentand forinstructionsconcerningtheiruse,storageanddisposal.Inmanycases,localagriculturalconsultantswill beabletoprovideassistance.

SUGGESTIONS

1.Avoidusingunsuitable,pressurisedfilling systemsorfuelcanswhenfillingtanks,asthesemay causeconsiderablespillageandleakageofliquids.

2.Asageneralrule,donotallowliquidfuels, lubricants,acids,solvents,etc.,tocomeintocontact withtheskin.Themajorityoftheseproductscontain substancesthatarepotentialhealthhazards.

3.Modernlubricantscontainadditives.Donotburn contaminatedfueloilsand/oroilsusedinconventionalheatingsystems.

4.Avoidspillagewhentransferringusedengine coolingliquids,engineandtransmissionlubricants, hydraulicoils,brakefluids,etc.Nevermixusedbrakeoilwithfueloil,orfueloilwithlubricants.Storesafelyuntilsuitabledisposalcanbearrangedaccording tonationallegislationorlocalregulations.

5.Modernanti--freezeliquidsandsolutions,e.g.: anti--freezeandotheradditives,mustbereplaced everytwoyears.Theymustnotbelefttobe absorbedintotheground,butmustbecollectedand disposedofinasuitablemanner.

6.Donotopentheairconditioningsystemstocarry outwork.Thesesystemscontaingaswhichmustnot bereleasedintotheatmosphere.Contactyourdealer orspecialisedpersonnel,whoareequippedwiththe appropriateequipmentandareauthorisedtore--fillthe system.

7.Anyleakageordefectintheenginecoolingor hydraulicsystemsmustberepairedimmediately.

8.Donotincreasethepressureinpressurisedsystems,asthismaycausecomponentpartstoburst.

9.Whenwelding,makesurethathosesareproperlyprotectedassparksormoltenmaterialmaypunctureorweakenthetubesandsleeves,resultingin leakageofoil,coolingliquid,etc.
