An Afternoon with Jasmine Warga

COVINGTON: SAT., OCT. 2 • 1-2 PM Come hear Jasmine Warga, Newbery Honorwinning author of books for teens and tweens, speak about her books and writing process. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Warga has written two young adult titles and two titles for middle graders, including her newest book, “The Shape of Thunder.” Free copies of Warga’s Newbery Honor book, “Other Words for Home,” will be available while supplies last; please call 859.962.4260 with any questions.

Grab & Go Craft Kits COVINGTON: DAILY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST

Each week we will have a limited number of kits reserved for kids/ families and kits for adults.

Each month we have a new take-home kit with all the spices and herbs to make a different recipe from around the world. Supplies are limited.

In preparation for “Dia de los Muertos”/ Day of the Dead, when we honor and celebrate the life of our deceased loved ones, visit the William E. Durr branch and bring a photo or a memento to be part of our community altar to be displayed all month.

Hocus Pocus and Crafts

Branch for a drive-in showing of the Halloween favorite “Hotel Transylvania.” Parking begins at 6:45 and will be as directed for safety purposes.

Open Crafting: Halloween Edition

or grab a kit to take home. Projects available for all ages while supplies last. Limit two projects per person.

Nightmare on Nicholson: A Family Halloween Festival

The Singing Librarian

0-12, come dressed in your best costume and participate in open trick-or-treating inside the library anytime from 7-8 pm.

2nd Annual Trunk-O-Treat!*

Join us and have a fun time while you gather some delicious candy. Prize will be awarded to the Best Decorated Trunk. Candy will be provided by the library. Registration required for vehicles that will take part in the contest, but not for those who will just be trick-or-treating.
