HEALTH IN THE WORKPLACE Milton Keynes Council’s Workplace Health Team has been busier than ever over the past 12 months - giving advice to hundreds of local businesses about improving health and wellbeing. Their focus in the last year has been on managing and preventing workplace-based Covid-19 outbreaks, as well as wellbeing advice from mental health support to helping staff give up smoking. Setting up supportive health and wellbeing practices can bring big benefits such as reduced absence and turnover, improved morale and productivity, greater job satisfaction and better work/life balance. The Workplace Health Team can give advice on healthy eating in the workplace, exercise, and alcohol and substance abuse.
