Course & Grounds Update - May 2025

It’s great to see everyone back at the club, especially with all the improvements going on at the clubhouse and on the golf course. It has been a somewhat gloomy, cold spring and the greens have been a little slow to “wake up.”We had a successful aeration at the beginning of April and things finally look like they are starting to recover. The tee box renovations have turned out fantastic, as I am writing this, sod is being laid. Once the tees are sodded we will keep them closed to let the grass get established, but the plan is to open them as soon as possible so we can enjoy them for the 2025 golf season. Looking forward, we plan on continuing with the tee renovation/expansion this fall.

The club has purchased an equipment package from John Deere and some new equipment has already been delivered. We started mowing a handful of fairways with our new fairway unit and the quality of cut is noticeable when compared to our 20year-old fairway mowers. As we keep receiving new mowing units I think membership will see a stark difference in the quality of all the course ’ s playing surfaces and the rough. It is hard to put everything on my mind in a condensed paragraph so please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments you may have about the golf course.
