A Note from Ryan Dougherty – Your Interim General Manager
Dear Members and Guests,
It’s a true honor to introduce myself as your new Interim General Manager at Covered Bridge and Champions Pointe Golf Clubs. I’m Ryan Dougherty, and I’m stepping in following the leadership of Chris Tuohey. Chris has left a mark on these clubs, and I’m genuinely grateful for the foundation he’s built. Chris brought tremendous heart and commitment to the clubs every day, and I’m excited to lead our teams here and continue to serve the communities.
With over 35 years in the golf industry, I’ve learned that while the courses are important, it’s the people members, guests, and team members that make a club truly special From the moment I arrived, I could sense the pride and community that define Covered Bridge and Champions Pointe You all have something really special here, and I’m thrilled to be part of it
Now, full disclosure: I may not be the best golfer around (in fact, I’m pretty terrible my words, not yours), but I’ve always believed in leading with humility, humor, and a genuine passion for creating great experiences I’ve been married to my wonderful wife Sharon for 28 years (she prefers we don’t talk age), and we have two grown kids, ages 27 and 25, plus two dogs Jack and George who think they run the show Fun fact: I ran a marathon 12 years ago and have been recovering ever since
I can’t wait to get to know you all. Please don’t hesitate to stop me around the clubhouse or say hello I’m always up for a conversation. I’m here to listen, support, and help make this next chapter a great one.

We’re proud to host a qualifying stage of the 2025 PGA TOUR Americas Q-School right here at Champions Pointe Golf Club in Henryville, Indiana. Watch aspiring pros compete for their shot at golf’s next big stage on our championship course!
