Raising Awareness for homelessness

Waypointisshininga spotlightthroughoutNew Hampshireonyoungpeople experiencinghomelessness atthe10thAnniversary SleepOutevent.OnMarch 29,hundredsofpeoplefrom acrossthestatewillspenda nightoutinthecoldtoexpandthecollectiveconsciousnessabouthomelessnessandtoraisefundsto addresscriticalneedsfor youngpeoplefacinga myriadofchallengesassociatedwithhomelessness.An initiativeofWaypoint,the 24-hourexperiential fundraisersupportsmajor resourcesWaypointrunsto servetheseyouth,including thestate'sonlylowbarrier youngadultemergency shelterinManchesterand drop-incentersinConcord andRochester.

Sleeperscanparticipate individuallyorinteams withfriendsandcoworkers.Theysignuponlineandusepledgeformsto gainsupportfortheirnight outinthecold.In2023, morethan2,100pledges werereceivedforthe sleepers.Allrevenueraised willsupportyouthhomelessness,whichisarapidly

growingconcernacrossthe GraniteState.InNew Hampshire,itisestimated that15,000youthexperiencesomeformofhomelessnesseachyear.Andat least70percentofthese peoplewillnothavetheoptiontoreturntoasafeand stablehome.

In-personSleepOutswill takeplaceinManchester, Concord,andRochesterand individualscanvirtually
