Consumer Products Consumer products is the technology that is accessible to everyone as it is cheaper than professional equipment. As the equipment is cheaper than professional, the quality of film may be decreased. These products can be found in homes such as cheap cam-recorders.


Satellite Satellite television is a service that delivers television programming to viewers by relaying it from a communications satellite orbiting the Earth directly to the viewer's location. The signals are received via an outdoor antenna known as a satellite dish. Pros: • Accessibility – is available at home • Cost is cheaper than cable Cons: • Hardware – needs to be installed • Reliability – signal can easily cut out when interfered


Cable Cable television is a system of delivering television programming to consumers via radio frequency signals transmitted through coaxial cables, or in more recent systems, light pulses through fiber-optic cables. Pros: • Often specials are available by bundling your cable television with other services in a single package • Will not cut out like satellite (except in serious storms) Cons: • Cable can be expensive • If you are bundling your cable television with your internet, you will have less privacy on the internet


Analogue Analogue television in the United Kingdom includes terrestrial, satellite and cable services that were broadcast using analogue television signals. Pros: • Density is much higher • It is easy processing Cons: • Unwanted noise happens in recording • Unwanted disturbance happens when data is being transmitted from long distance


Digital Digital television (DTV) is the transmission of television signals which the video and audio is carried by analog signals. Pros: • Picture and Sound quality is high • More channels are available Cons: • New Equipment is need when converting • When losing signals, you’ll lose the whole channel


Internet The Internet is the global system of interconnected computer networks that use the Internet protocol suite to link devices worldwide. Pros: • Internet allows us to access to information all over the world and many of them are free • People can connect with one another (even long distance) Cons: • They is a decrease in personal privacy • Internet dependence can decrease productivity


Interactive Interactive TV is an approach to television advertising and programming that creates the opportunity for viewers to communicate with advertisers and programming executives. Pros: • There is often a choice of language • There are possibilities for interactive learning Cons: • It can be expensive


High Definition High-definition television (HDTV) provides an image resolution that is of higher resolution than that of standard-definition television. Pros: • Heightened streaming experience • Better picture for non-4K content Cons: • 4K content won’t be standard for a while • Still room for 4K TV prices to fall as technology to improve


3D 3D television is television that transfers depth perception to the viewer by using techniques such as stereoscopic display, multi-view display, 2D-plus-depth, or any other form of 3D display. Pros: • 3D TVs are excellent 2D TVs • The 3D viewing enhances quality Cons: • The glasses are uncomfortable • 3D TVs are more expensive than other TVs


Pay-per-View Pay-per-view (PPV) is a type of pay television service by which a viewer can purchase events to view via private telecast. WWE is an example of pay-per-view. Pros: • Less Filler Pay-Per-Views • Potential Profit Increase Cons: • Money may pile up overtime


On-Demand Video on demand is a system which allows users to select and watch/listen to video such as movies and TV shows whenever they choose, rather than at a scheduled broadcast time. Pros: • Available when wanted • Can be cheaper than cable Cons: • Some content might not be available in your area • Popular shows may not be ready to be available


Streaming contest Streaming media is software that is received by and presented to an end-user while being delivered by a provider. Pros: • Lower barriers to entry in the digital marketplace make it easier for independent artists to release their music to the public. • Streaming gives flexibility in choosing a release date. Cons: • With lower barriers to entry comes more artist entrants. • Streaming allows for more flexibility in releasing the music but getting a return on investment


Digital recorders A digital video recorder is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a different storages devices including disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD. Pros: • Easily portable • Exact multiple copies and can be shared quickly Cons: • Data can become ruined • Some believe ease is ranked over quality
