I am writing to you as you have recently released a job advertisement for the job role of a digital video production producer. It can come to my attention that your job advertisement is problematic for many reasons. Contracts of employment should be clear about what the requires, when the employee will be required and the payment the employee will receive. The Equality Act allows equal opportunities for people as they produce codes of practice and employers aim to recruit equally. In the job description it includes that strictly requires a Christian employee which is discrimination against people who follow other religions or those who don’t even follow a religion. The letter also discriminates against age as it doesn’t accept applicants who are older than 30 years of age. Also, in the job advert it states that you would like a documentary on the No Means No campaign which is to campaign against rape. You also state that you would like applicants to interview female victims and male offenders. This may bring controversy as males can be victims as well as females being offenders. Re-enactments may also be inappropriate for the target audience to watch especially if they are victims. Popular music may not be available as it could be copyrighted, in this case royalty free music is the best in order to not have copyright claims. It is also not right that you ask of applicants to not apply to other jobs that are in the same nature, particularly if applicants are looking to go into the production industry.
