Those that speak new languages, speak ‘in The Holy Spirit.' We see this in “For through the Spirit is given to one a word of wisdom; and to another, a word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; 9. and to another, faith by the same Spirit; and to another, gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10. and to another workings of powers; and to another, prophecy; and to another, discerning of spirits; and to another kinds of languages, and to another interpretations of languages. 11. But the one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing separately to each as He wills”.

1 Corinthians 12:8-11 “And God did works of power through the hands of Paul, not the common works; 12. but so as even handkerchiefs or aprons from his skin to be brought onto those sick, and the diseases to be released from them, and the evil spirits to go out from them.”

Acts 19:11-12 I want you to keep in mind it is those with the Holy Spirit who are ones casting out demons just like Paul did in Acts (Luke 10:20) and speaking in new languages. If you like, read the above Scripture again of Acts 19:11-12.

Then, we see another witness to this gift in 1 Corinthians 14:5 it is written.

“And I wish all of you to speak in languages, but rather that you may prophesy for greater is the one prophesying than the one speaking in tongues, unless he interpret that the church may receive building up. 6. But now, brothers, if I come to you speaking in tongues, what will I profit you, except I speak to you either in revelation, or in knowledge, or in prophecy, or in teaching?”

1 Corinthians 14:5 We see firstly Paul is and does speak in languages and in tongues. As we read the word reveals new languages is the same as tongues in that The Holy Spirit speaks it. They both mean the same, only one is the languages of nations and the other the tongues of heaven. We understand the word language 23
