I never thought I could learn a single thing from Shrek. I watched the movie and I thought there was no lessons to be learned from Shrek, but I learned love. When Shrek let the donkey into his home, I learned that no matter what a person looks like, you should love them unconditionally, just like Shrek and the Donkey. Shrek went all the way to Lord Farquad to get his home back so he and the Donkey could live together. He traveled a long way through fire and lava pits to save a princess and they fell in love. Shrek taught me love. Shrek also taught me that no matter how small you are, you can still be very scary. Lord Farquad was only 2 feet tall and he was still the most powerful person in the kingdom. He used torture tactics to scare people into doing things for him and people became very afraid of him, even though he was very small. Shrek taught me that if people are on your land, you can just save a princess to make them go away and say “Get off my swamp!. If Shrek never saved Princess Fiona, there would still be a million woodland creatures on his swamp. Donkey taught me that kindness is a good quality when dealing with somebody that may not be accepted by everyone.
