Kaleidoscope of colours Beautiful art of the indigenous Huichol people has been carefully integrated into numerous areas of the resort - both indoors and outdoors.

“Camino Huichol” walkway featuring various shades of blue, green, black and white mosaic (751,184 tiles were used to make it!) is a central art piece at W Punta de Mita. It represents life's journey and connects hotel lobby with one of the swimming pools and the beach area.

“The

Huichol

or

Wixárika

are

an

indigenous

people

of

Mexico living in the Sierra Madre Occidental range in the states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Zacatecas, and Durango. They are

best

known

the

as

the

Huichol,

however, they refer to themselves as Wixáritari ("the people") in their native Huichol language. The adjectival form of Wixáritari and name for their own language is Wixárika.” - Source: Wikipedia

W Punta de Mita is an excellent example how you can incorporate local art and design into a very modern environment and make it an integral part of a luxury lifestyle. Stepping into the resort is like suddenly finding yourself in a spacious art gallery where every single object has its own place and meaning and the whole atmosphere of the hotel is unique and unforgettable - Mexican with a contemporary twist. Well done, W Hotels!

Cold / hot therapy is great for giving your immune system an extra boost.

Finish your appointment with a delicious cup of tea or try something from the in-room dining menu.

Spring / Summer 2021 A quick look at the most popular colours of the season

Pretty in Pink Any spring / summer season wouldn’t be complete without a dash of pink shades. From subtle powder pink colour to bold fuchsia and magenta, don’t be afraid to sport this girly colour as soon as the winter is over. Spring fashion is all about transformation and fresh colour palette: pink pastels or vivid magenta - there is no better way to start a new season with style. A simple and effective way to transform your look this spring is investing in a fashionable pink coat that can be worn with your favourite pair of jeans and a simple T-shirt. It’s a cool and effortless look for Spring 2021. For summer nights out, wear a floor-sweeping dress in bright fuchsia and combine it with simple accessories such as beige basket bag and flat gold sandals.

French Blue - Pantone’s Spring 2021 Colour “The deep blue shade is linked to the late New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham, and more recently has become a favourite of Kate Middleton. Pantone expects the hue to be popular with people who favour the colour and are looking for a new shade.” - Source: WWD

Mint

How to achieve a healthy skin glow throughout the whole year W

ho doesn’t like having healthy, glowing skin? Clear skin with a natural glow is a

dream come true for many. Achieving your skin goal is hard, however, maintaining healthy skin is even harder. What can you do to have the perfect skin throughout the whole year?

Even though seasons and weather change, your skin mostly remains the same. So, you need to develop a comprehensive routine that will keep your skin healthy and naturally shiny all year round. That’s why you absolutely need to implement these steps into your routine.

1. Know your skin type Knowing your skin type is essential before you buy and apply any products. Using skin care products and makeup that isn’t meant for your skin type can cause a lot of problems, such as over-drying, excessive sebum, redness, or even rash.

There a few types of skin. Natural and normal, we all wish we have. Most people fall under the categories of dry or oily skin. These categories mostly require different kinds of products. Besides that, some people have a sensitive skin type that breaks out easily, while others may have a combination skin type that combines different types of skin in one. Before buying products, make sure to read the labels and check whether they suit your skin type.

43

TRAVELLING IN STYLE

2. Don’t forget about the CTM CTM - cleansing, toning, and moisturizing should be crucial parts of your skincare routine. Make sure to get the products that are suitable for your skin type, and stick to this routine twice a day. You need to clean your face from sweat and dirt that got onto it during the day. If you clean your skin, you minimize the chances of getting pimples or blackheads, which results in clearer and more glowing skin.

In addition to that, toner and moisturizer keep your skin fresh-looking and hydrated. Toner makes your skin soft and clears it from all the impurities, while moisturizer keeps skin hydrated, fresh, and young. To get the glowing skin faster, look for the products that contain grape seeds, kojic acid, azelaic acid, or similar to achieve the glowing effect faster.

3. Apply SPF Whether you’re just walking down the street or you’re sunbathing, you need to protect your skin from the harmful rays. Wearing 30+ SPF prolongs your natural glow and keeps your skin healthier during hot and cold months.

Believe it or not, more than 85% of wrinkles are caused by sun exposure. It’s always better, easier, and cheaper to prevent the issues and damage than to fix and treat them later. This doesn't exclude those cold, winter days. Even though it's cold, the sun still shines and exposes you to an unhealthy dose of UV rays. So, in order to prevent skin damage or more serious issues, look for the products that offer vast protection from various UVA and UVB sun rays.

4. Regularly clean your brushes Did you know that one of the most common causes of acne and facial redness comes from the unclean makeup brushes?

44

TRAVELLING IN STYLE

Many people who use makeup daily overlook the important part of cleaning them regularly. Old makeup particles, dirt, and bacteria stick to your brushes and may cause inflammation or other skin and health issues.

That’s why you need to regularly clean and replace your brushes and makeup sponges. You can deep clean your makeup brushes at home. That’s how you’ll make sure that your face stays clear, without bacteria and blemishes. Clean your brushes at least once a week and replace them when you notice that they can’t be cleaned anymore.

5. Increase the veggies intake Vegetables are amazing for your skin. Most of them are more than 50% water, which provides hydration from the inside out. Besides that, vegetables such as mushrooms and avocado are amazing for your skin, complexion, and glow. Is there another way of using natural ingredients on your skin?

Not every skin care product has the ingredients that sound like they are from an advanced chemistry book. If you're keen on preserving nature and love the natural skincare routines, you need to try out natural skin care products. With their mild ingredients, they are appropriate for every skin type, from dry over sensitive to oily. Natural skincare products are vegan and cruelty-free which means that they are organic and made out of natural ingredients. Apply them daily for the best results.

6. Change your diet It's commonly known that the food you eat directly affects your entire body. Why would your face be any different? If you eat a lot of greasy and processed products, your skin is more likely to break out even if you have a comprehensive skincare routine. That's why you need to implement some changes to your diet.

47

TRAVELLING IN STYLE

Besides veggies, there are a lot of food types that are good for your skin. For instance, the best foods for healthy skin include groceries rich in vitamins A and C. They are necessary for a good complexion and a natural glow. Similarly, berries are great antioxidants that prevent wrinkle formations. Another anti-aging hack is different types of nuts. Brazilian nuts and almonds are rich in selenium which contributes to the skin elasticity. Create a more balanced diet for better health and prettier skin.

Conclusion Achieving a natural glow takes time. Taking care of your skin should be part of your daily routine no matter what season it is. Try to find the best antiaging product that suits your skin type. Natural skincare products usually go well with every skin type and are the best way to achieve the natural glow all year round. So, the skincare routine is your best friend towards the perfect skin. ________________________________________________________________________ By Lena Hemsworth

Travelling

around Europe doesn’t really need recommendation. It’s easy,

convenient, and you can quickly hop from one country to another. Last September, Fashion Studio Magazine visited Amsterdam, a Dutch city known for its unique architecture, laid-back lifestyle, edgy art scene, and fantastic nightlife. Here are our top recommendations what to see and do in this vibrant city:

1.Moco Museum This boutique museum located in the heart of Amsterdam houses a wide range of inspiring modern and contemporary art including Banksy, Jean-Michel Basquiat, JR, KAWS, Keith Haring, Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama, Andy Warhol, and more. The museum is located in Villa Alsberg, a townhouse designed in 1904 by Eduard Cuypers and overlooks Museumplein. Highly recommended!

2.Canal Cruise One of the best ways to see Amsterdam is by taking a boat cruise and enjoying spectacular views the entire way. You can treat yourself to a dinner cruise or even hire your own private boat for a day. Many companies offer a hop-on hop-off service which allows you to make unlimited stops along the way. It’s an enjoyable and relaxed way of getting around the canals.

3.Red Light District (De Wallen) According to The Guardian and Culture Trip, there are plans “to reset Amsterdam as a visitor city”. So if you haven’t seen the famous Red Light District yet, hurry up! The proposal to close down majority of the windows was supported by a large group of politicians so it’s very probable that the district will soon become a distant memory. It’s a unique place that is definitely worth visiting and its history dates back to the earliest days of Amsterdam.
