As we look back on 2024, it’s clear that Kasteel embraced every opportunity to connect, celebrate, and create unforgettable memories.

We kicked off the year with a Beer Pong Tournament, hosted with our sister residence, Wanda, in our garden.

The “Biervrou Aksie” set the tone for a year of collaboration and fun after Kasteel reigned victorious. We hit the ground running in March with our Informal. A night filled with music and dancing. A few days later, we joined Caput Mens Residence for an aksie, the night of the Jool announcement. Dressing up in our Ovies and using Melktertjies as chilling agents as we waited to hear Kasteel's placement.

Mid-March brought another highlight: the No Degree Plan B event with Laureus. We all of us dressed as our backup plans if our studies don't work out, from carguards to married and pregnant. As April arrived we celebrated our last night of freedom, during our Bachelorette, before getting married to Soetdorings.

Things heated up in May on our jumping castle with our annual SpringKasteel aksie alongside Veritas. This playful tradition let us bond with who we might want to “sleep” with the next year. The mid-year events brought even more excitement. On July 9, we aksie-ed with Villagers while twinning with your Kasteel sister. The month wrapped up with an Excelsior SRCS/social aksie, reminding us of the importance of giving back and being greatful.

Just before the year completely dried up... the entire West Campus met up at Overs to end a season with an event filled with laughter, dancing, and shared stories.

Each of these events brought us closer to one another and strengthened our Kasteel and Campus family. Thank you to everyone who planned, participated in, or simply cheered on from the sidelines for making this year SO memorable. Here’s to 2025 and all the adventures it promises!
