Hello to our Kasteel ladies, and welcome to the sparkling new edition of The Tiara!

What a remarkable year it has been – a true testament to the strength and spirit of our residence.

Our HC of 2023/2024 has shown us exactly what it means to wear the crown with pride. They have redefined resilience, embodying the qualities that make Kasteel ladies so unique: strength, independence, and unwavering dedication. When unexpected setbacks arose, like with the sleep announcement, our HC didn’t stumble. Instead, they adjusted their crowns, held their heads high, and continued with relentless passion and perseverance.

This year, we were delighted to welcome a new generation of first-years who proudly stepped into the legacy of Kasteel.

Their enthusiasm and commitment shone at every event, showing the entire campus that Kasteel’s spirit is alive and thriving.

We excelled in every portfolio, reminding the residences on campus that we truly have royal blood and don’t have to prove ourselves to anyone.

However, with the highs of this year, we also faced a deeply painful loss. Our beloved sister, Beata Joubert, departed from our midst. Her beautiful soul brightened every space she entered, and her absence is profoundly felt within our residence. Her memory will remain a cherished part of our Kasteel legacy, as she continues to inspire us all.

The goal of The Tiara is to keep each of you connected, informed, and engaged with all the events in our residence.

We’re here to celebrate our victories, support each other, and uphold the Kasteel name with pride.

Here’s to 2025, a year filled with unity, love, and the unbreakable bonds that make us Kasteel!

Together, let’s continue to wear our crowns proudly and uphold the Kasteel name with honour and love.
