Races take place at all levels. At this time of the year, the events follow one another at an unbridled pace throughout Europe, internationally as well as nationally and regionally. Surprises were not lacking in international competition with the launch of the CIK-FIA European season. The most visible change is the new race format introduced this year. Until now, a driver with very good races could miss out on qualification for the Final with a technical problem or a Prefinal racing incident. Henceforth, there are more heats, to select the 34 finalists directly. It is clear that the heats are more significant and therefore more competitive than before, so a retirement sometimes has serious consequences. It is true that the Prefinal that did not carry any points in CIK-FIA races was no longer really right. In any case, it seems that the perfect solution does not exist in this field.
