WHY SHOULD I ATTEND THIS EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE CONFERENCE? Arthur L. Burnett, Sr. Judge - Retired National Executive Director National African American Drug Policy Coalition, Inc.

T

his Educational Institute Conference promises to be one which every person in America ought to see on C-SPAN or have access to in STREAMING on the INTERNET. It will involve presentations by key policymakers in the Administration, a Congresswoman with a passion for protecting Veterans’ Healthcare and their Rights and Benefits, and leading minds and doers in the Nation with concrete recommendations for solutions, not just abstract theories and philosophy, on how to get fathers involved in the lives of their children not only for financial support, but in molding their character and respect for human life and dignity - and their social values – to reduce crime and violence in America. Our ultimate objective is to end the Mass Incarceration of minority youth and young adults and to redirect their lives to maximize their talents, to develop a work ethic and break the poverty cycle, and to enable them to become major contributors to society in all walks of life to improve the quality of our workforce and enhance our national security and in the process restore families. We want every child to be able to achieve his or her maximum potential, and not be subjected to disparate treatment, unlawful discrimination, or any civil or human rights violation throughout his or her entire life. Engagement of fathers in the lives of their children and the restoration of families can be the foundation for achieving the best in human relationships in this world.
