! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! I hold the clay, cupped in both hands. It feels like a quiet, peaceful mediation. !

Each piece gets its unique look from what moves me. Cradled in my hands, I shape the clay into of oneof-a-kind heart. I use brush, metal tools, wood, horsehair, cooking implements and sometimes a touch of glass. In the kiln, the alchemy of fire transforms these creations into Cradled Hearts. I invite to feel, hold each and find out for yourself what shape, feel, speak to you. They make wonderful gifts, will hold earrings and heartfelt sentiments. - Karen Chaussabel
