WELCOME

Welcome friends to Karcher Church of the Nazarene’s 70th Anniversary celebration. It is our privilege to have you here today. It is also our privilege to have former pastors, associates, office assistants and members in attendance today. I trust that you will sense the presence of our Lord this day as we recall the seventy years we have journeyed as a community of faith. Our special guests today are our District Superintendent, Reverend J. Scott Shaw and his wife, Vicki, former pastor Ken and Carol Morrison and former pastor Rick and Karen Garmon.

From the very first service at the Franklin Road site, until today, Karcher Church has been the recipient of the many blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ. May we, who carry on the work of the Church today, be found faithful in our time leading the Church. Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. (NIV)

It is our sincere hope that you will renew old acquaintances and friendships or perhaps establish a few new ones as we celebrate together. Please be sure to stay for lunch and visit around the tables in the Church Pavilion following the service. It is my privilege to serve as your pastor, Mark Bernhardt
