“Artistic expression allows me to

feel good about myself and gives me that extra boost of confidence to strive to be the best that I can in all that I do. Building high self-esteem and feeling good about oneself is crucial for survival in the adult world. Possessing self-esteem and maintaining a positive outlook, I feel I can accept new challenges and receive constructive criticism without a crippling fear of failure. Instead I am able to go forth with a sense of strength and determination, an attribute that will benefit me along any road on which I choose to travel.

For many people, art is just a piece

of paper, a pencil and an eraser. From my view it is my vehicle that will enable me to persevere in the light of adversity and allow me to achieve my goals now and in the future.
