Choir wins two trophies Ilse Watson BEFORE the school holidays, the Kalahari High School choir participated in the South African School Choral Eisteddfod (SASCE). This is a national competition and schools from the whole of South Africa take part. The Kalahari High School competed at regional and provincial level and secured a first place in both competitions. They won the two trophies in the categories solo soprano and female choir. During the school holidays they took part in the nationals which were held in Durban. During this event the choir secured a seventh place in the female choir category. They performed the song I enjoy being a girl. For the solo soprano category,

Morati Mothibedi sang the song Yizwa Ukukhala Kwam (Hear my cries). For this song she secured a third place.
