Aggieville, an area that features iver 35 restaurants and shops, continues to be particularly popular with students and is located on the southeast edge of campus. Manhattan also ranked No. 1 in Quality of Life among American small cities by CNN, while Business Insider ranked Manhattan as the No. 6 Most Exciting Small City in the United States, Men’s Journal named Manhattan one of the Top 50 Places to Live in America while Money Magazine named Manhattan one of the Top 10 Places to Retire Young in the USA. Manhattan is the fastest growing metro area in the state of Kansas and one of the Top 15 fastest growing cities in the country. It also ranked in the top one percent nationally in personal income growth. American Airlines offers daily round-trip flights between Dallas/ Fort Worth International Airport, Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Manhattan Regional Airport, so flights out of an to Manhattan now connect to anywhere in the world. Around the holidays, Manhattan bustles with activity as approximately 15,000 revelers each year take to the streets of Aggieville to celebrate the Little Apple at the annual New Year’s Eve ball drop.
