Here’s What Client’s Are Saying:

“We had a wonderful experience working with Megan McCleary to find our forever home. Her local knowledge and network proved to be critical in identifying properties that were coming on the market. What I loved most about Megan was how she was always available to us, ensuring we could see new properties as soon as they went on the market (and often before they did). Highly recommend!”

- Anay P.

“Megan McCleary is the best! She sold our house in less than a week and had multiple offers. Megan made the whole process of selling easy and flawless. We enjoyed working with her and loved how professional and responsive she was throughout the whole process. HIGHLY recommend Megan and the McCleary Group.”

- Kathleen P.

“Megan provided an unbelievable level of service and guidance throughout the entire sale process. She reacted quickly and efficiently to every issue and ultimately sold our home in days of listing (at our desired price). We’ve recommended her to several friends who have all had similar experiences. A true professional in every aspect.”

COUNTRY VS. TOWN

GABRIELA GARCIA

spent her early childhood in Lincoln Park before moving to Lubbock, Texas, where her dad worked as a civil engineer. Her mom used that time to attend Texas Tech to earn her law degree. Eventually, they moved back to the Chicagoland area. Gabriela grew up with a love of reading, writing, and music. She reminisces, “I loved writing stories and getting lost in the make-believe worlds I created in my mind. I played the violin from three to 17 years old, was involved in the theater, and participated in cheerleading. I think I just loved creating things— anything. Stories, music, cheer routines—I loved being creative!”

Gabriela goes on to say, “I don’t think I knew what that meant career-wise. Should I be an actor? A musician? A novelist? So, I struggled in my late teens and early twenties to find my 'thing.' I attended the University of Southern California for Comparative Literature. This is where my love of writing was solidified. I had an internship at Paramount Studios and met so many creatives; they had jobs that I had never heard of at career fairs in high school. You could win an Oscar for writing? It blew my mind!”

After graduating from USC, she stayed in Los Angeles and worked in Hollywood. “Initially, the plan was to work in television development, but I landed on the talent side and absolutely loved it! At the time, I was the only Latina agent to become a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).”

Los Angeles will always be a second home to her. “From participating in talent discovery and pitch development to visiting my clients on set and meeting iconic industry leaders, my time in Hollywood has shaped me in many positive ways,” Gabriela says. Eventually, she knew she wanted to raise a family in a nonHollywood environment. Gabriela moved to Chicago to be closer to her family and started to focus on writing. She worked for a small consulting firm and eventually started freelancing at various publications focusing on beauty, fashion, and lifestyle.

Gabriela lives in Hinsdale with her husband, Adam, two tween kids, and two fur babies, where she writes full-time as a valuable contributor to outlets like InStyle, Well+Good , Glamour, Editorialist, TheEverymom , The Pioneer Woman , and more. She also runs a website called Modern Brown Girl, which amplifies black and brown voices across beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and culture spaces.

“Hinsdale embodies both the innocent small-town values drawn by Norman Rockwell and the modern suburban complexities depicted in John Hughes's movies. I love it here! I lived in the Pacific Palisades for a while in California, and Hinsdale reminds me a lot of that town (minus the ocean!). I think that’s why I’m so comfortable here—it has a small-town feel with big-town culture.” Gabriela is a board member of the Clarendon Hills Middle School Parent Teacher Organization and contributes to The Hinsdalean

She appreciates that her kids study violin at the same school she attended as a child and are involved in various activities around town. With her parents and in-laws live close by, they are over often. “Family is super important to us, and we are fortunate to have family members who live nearby so they can be a part of our children’s lives.”

COUNTRY VS. TOWN

Do you have a mantra? My dad bought me a copy of ink and Grow Rich in my early twenties, and I very much live by that philosophy. Aside from that, I love to collect quotes relevant to specific seasons of my life. e one that has stuck with me the most has to do with raising children, which is the season of life I’m currently in. “Parenting is not like math where 1+1 equals 2. Parenting is like music, where an endless combination of notes can result in something beautiful.” On your reading stack? I rotate between fiction and non-fiction to strengthen my vocabulary and writing styles. Right now, I’m reading On Earth We're Brie y Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong, which is devastatingly beautiful. After that, I will re-read e Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. I’m no different from any other writer whose dream is to draft that great American novel! When my kids are off to college, I plan to distract myself from being sad and finally finish the novel I’ve had brewing in my head since I was 25 years old. What is the area of expertise on which your group chat will seek your advice? Anything beauty-related—makeup, skincare, and everything

in between. Any daily rituals that make you feel centered? Besides making my morning iced matcha latte, I would say cooking dinner every night has become ritualistic for me. It’s almost meditative—the process of turning random ingredients into something delicious that my entire family enjoys. Music you love? I have synesthesia—I can “see” shapes when I listen to music. erefore, I love all music. I can listen to anything from hip-hop to country and classical music as long as the music has soft and interesting shapes. Favorite spring tradition or activity? I look forward to the Hinsdale Kitchen Walk every year. e only downside is that after seeing so many beautiful homes, I want to renovate everything in my house! What beauty products are you loving currently? I test dozens and dozens of products each month, so not much impresses me. But Elta’s MD Tinted Sunscreen and Augustinus Bader’s Face Oil are two products that I continually purchase.

WHEN IN THE COUNTRY

What’s your go-to out t? I love casual, simple, yet refined outfits. I love e Row and Mary-Kate and Ashley’s oversized, messy, yet somehow polished looks. For me, it’s white t-shirts, oversized black pants, big sunglasses, and a “ludicrously capacious” bag. But some days, I’m more Adam Sandler than Mary-Kate and Ashley! Is there anything you can’t leave the house without? My phone, my readers, big sunglasses, and a lipstick, lip oil, or chapstick. Where do they know you by name? Kramers! If an ad agency asked you to write a commercial for your town, what would you say? In Hinsdale, we don't just preserve history, we create it! With nationally recognized schools and a community that feels like family, every day offers something to celebrate. From historic architecture to modern luxury, quaint coffee shops, and fine dining, Hinsdale isn't just a place to live, it's a place to belong. Hinsdale: where tradition meets tomorrow.

WHEN IN TOWN

Do you wear any out ts or accessories that feel like too much for the school run but are perfect for the city? Nothing is too much for this town! What’s in your bag? Wallet, small makeup bag, mini first aid kit, sunglasses, reading glasses, phone, a notebook and pen, and a protein snack. View that never gets old? e Hancock building, looking south from Lake Shore Drive along the S-curve. Best quick bite or hidden gem? I will never get tired of dining at the Ralph Lauren cafe. It’s quaint, cozy, and feels like you’re in someone’s living room. e wooden booklined walls and moody lighting feel like you’re in some secret outof-the-way restaurant, even though you’re in the heart of Michigan Avenue. Do you have a favorite museum? e National Museum of Mexican Art and the Art Institute are my two favorite museums in the city. ey both have fantastic gift shops as well! What is your favorite movie lmed or set in Chicago? ere are so many! e Bear, Ferris Bueller’s Day O , and My Best Friend’s Wedding. My husband would be disappointed if I didn’t add Blues Brothers to the list as well!

Gabriela’s beauty and creativity are perfectly embodied in a dress by Oscar de la Renta from Neiman Marcus.

EMBRACING YOUR TRANSFORMATION: AESTHETIC PROCEDURES AFTER WEIGHT LOSS

Losing weight is a huge achievement, but it can leave behind loose skin and volume loss. Thankfully, modern aesthetics offer solutions to help you fully embrace your transformation.

REFRESHING YOUR LOOK WITH INJECTABLES

Alyssa Nasman, RN often recommends injectables to restore lost facial volume and smooth wrinkles. Fillers can enhance areas like the cheeks and jawline, while Botox relaxes muscles to soften lines. These treatments offer quick, natural-looking results with minimal downtime.

NON-SURGICAL SKIN TIGHTENING

For mild to moderate skin laxity, treatments like CO2 laser resurfacing and CoolPeel stimulate collagen to tighten and rejuvenate the skin. Our estheticians, Rene, Kathy and Kara specialize in these techniques, helping patients achieve smoother, frmer skin without surgery.

SURGICAL CONTOURING FOR LASTING RESULTS

Dr. Jeremy Warner and Dr. Krishna Patel are renowned for body contouring procedures that enhance natural curves and restore defnition. When excess skin and more signifcant tissue laxity are present, surgical interventions may provide the most transformative results. Body contouring procedures, such as abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), arm lifts, thigh lifts, and lower body lifts, remove excess skin and sculpt the body’s natural curves.

For the face, options like a facelift or neck lift can address more pronounced sagging, restoring defnition and structure. Breast lifts or augmentations can help reshape and restore volume to the chest, balancing the body’s proportions.

YOUR PERSONALIZED JOURNEY

Dr. Warner and Dr. Patel work closely with patients to create personalized treatment plans that align with individual goals. Whether through injectables, skin treatments, or surgery, they guide patients toward feeling confdent and empowered in their skin.

Whether through injectables, skin treatments, or surgery, these procedures can be the fnal step in your remarkable journey to self-discovery and self-love.

MEDIATION IN DIVORCE

WORDS BY MICHONE J. RIEWER

PHOTOGRAPHY BY MARIA PONCE BERRE

STYLING BY THERESA DEMARIA

HAIR AND MAKEUP BY LEANNA ERNEST

Divorce is never easy. Even when both parties want to resolve things amicably, emotions run high, and making decisions about finances, property, and parenting can be overwhelming. While some couples manage to work out settlements privately, others need a structured process to reach an agreement. In Illinois, mediation is required in cases involving children, but it can also be a valuable tool for resolving financial and complex property disputes efficiently and with less stress.

WHY ACT NOW?

Mediation is a guided negotiation process led by a neutral third party. e goal is to help divorcing couples reach agreements without the need for costly and drawn-out litigation. Illinois courts require mediation in disputes involving minor children and often encourage it in other areas to promote resolution and reduce conflict.

MEDIATION INSTEAD OF LITIGATION

Mediation is not required for financial or property disputes, but it can be a highly effective and efficient way to resolve them. In some cases, a judge may recommend mediation, and many couples voluntarily choose it to avoid a prolonged court battle. It is especially useful in the following situations:

• Financial and Property Disputes: Dividing assets, whether it’s a home, savings, or investments, can be contentious. Mediation allows couples to craft solutions tailored to their specific needs, often with more flexibility than a court would allow.

• Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreement Disputes: If there is a disagreement over a prenuptial or postnuptial agreement, mediation provides a space to clarify and negotiate terms without the stress of litigation.

• Business Ownership and Division of Interests: Divorce can create uncertainty for business owners. Mediation helps ensure that business interests are handled thoughtfully, preserving goodwill, continuity, and long-term value.

THE ADVANTAGES

OF MEDIATION

Mediation offers several benefits over traditional courtroom battles:

• Privacy: Court proceedings are public, but mediation is confidential.

• Cost-E ectiveness: Mediation is typically less expensive

than going to trial.

• Control: Rather than leaving the decision to a judge, mediation allows couples to reach agreements that work for them.

• E ciency: Mediated settlements are usually finalized faster than litigated ones, allowing both parties to move forward sooner.

WHEN MEDIATION MIGHT NOT WORK

Mediation isn’t right for everyone. If one spouse has significantly more financial knowledge, control of information, or emotional power in the relationship, the process may not be productive. In such cases, attorney-assisted mediation—where your divorce attorney attends mediation with you—can help ensure that your rights are protected and that you have all the necessary information to make informed decisions.

DO I NEED AN ATTORNEY DURING MEDIATION?

If both spouses have a fairly equal understanding of their finances and a balanced emotional dynamic, hiring an attorney to attend mediation may not be necessary. However, hiring an attorney to consult with before mediation is crucial. You need to know what the law requires, what issues must be resolved, and what a fair agreement looks like before you start mediation. Without legal guidance, you may unknowingly agree to something that is grossly unfair. While mediation agreements are not immediately binding, once you’ve reached a settlement, it can be extremely difficult to renegotiate terms. e best approach is to understand your rights and set realistic expectations before entering the mediation process.

FINAL THOUGHTS

In Illinois, mediation is required for child-related disputes, but it is also an effective and often beneficial option for financial and property matters. It can provide a less stressful, cost-effective, and efficient way to resolve conflicts privately. Whether mediation is court-ordered or voluntary, taking the time to consult with an experienced family law attorney—one skilled in both litigation and mediation—can help you make the best decisions for your future.

Kristin Burton, Ria Hoban, Emily Bower, Anne Otzen, and Amanda Mancini are leading a host of volunteers to make the Kitchen Walk incredible.

It’s become a rite of passage. Newcomers to the area sitting down to dinner on the Friday before Mother’s Day and reporting on all the beauty spotted throughout the day. For those who attend the Hinsdale Kitchen Walk, much of that beauty is in the gorgeous homes that participate and from the designers and businesses that partner with each location. ose who don’t attend will have tales to tell of the groups of beautifully dressed women laughing and enjoying themselves across the village. “ at’s one of my favorite things, seeing all the beautiful outfits the guests wear,” says co-chair Kristin Burton. She and her sisters attend together every year, meeting up with their mother for lunch.

is is the day when friends, sisters, and mothers celebrate each other while raising funds for the tireless work of the Hinsdale Historical Society, which is focused on preserving and maintaining three historic properties in the Village: e Hinsdale History Museum,

Immanuel Hall and e R. Harold Zook Home and Studio, offering programs and educational events promoting Hinsdale's history, and bringing awareness to the Roger and Ruth Anderson Architecture Center, which serves as an architectural resource for the Village and beyond. Membership in the organization has been steadily growing, and enthusiasm is at an all-time high. “We’ve added events throughout the year, including our Holly Jolly Trolly tour, which has become a community favorite,” says co-chair and past president Emily Bower.

Co-chair Anne Otzen offers insight into this year’s event, saying, “We are honored to have six amazing homeowners open their doors to the beauty of their homes and showcase the preservations and restorations taken place. In keeping with our theme, Elegance in Bloom, each of the Hinsdale homes featured in this year’s kitchen walk evoke a sense of elegance. e kitchen décor styles range from classic and timeless to modern and minimalist, offering a little something for everyone.”

Co-chair Ria Hoban highly recommends being a part of this special day in this way. “I was a docent last year and it was really the best, because you see everyone who is out for the day, and you feel like you’re very much a part of something.”

Co-chair Amanda Mancini agrees, “ ere are so many ways to get involved. We love our sponsors and volunteers!” All the co-chairs cite the sense of community that comes from being a part of e Kitchen Walk as their main reason for devoting time to this incredible day. “It’s such an honor to see people from all over the area make the trip to Hinsdale for the Kitchen Walk. It’s nice to show off the town that means so much to each of us,” Mancini says.

Diana Wagenbach of Studio W Interiors designed the primary bedroom and sunroom

With unobstructed views of the pool, tennis courts, and back gardens, the primary bedroom and sun-

room are found at the southern end of Pembroke Lodge’s second floor. Diana Wagenbach, principal and founder of Hinsdale-based Studio W Interiors, a full-service residential architectural and interior design firm, says she loved the size and scale of the rooms from the moment she saw them. “I was thrilled,” says Diana. “Especially to be able to include the amazing sunroom in the design. e natural light coming in through the floorto-ceiling windows really influenced my decisions.”

To design the two rooms, Diana began with the spatial layout, then moved to finishes, and finally, furnishings. “ e two aspects that I really honed in on were the fireplace design and the bar design,” she says. “ e rest flowed from there.”

“The natural light coming in through the floor-to-cieling windos really influenced my decisions.”

For the fireplace, e Studio W team sought to reduce the scale of the footprint while still making it a statement piece. In the new design, she says, “I added a gentle curve that mirrors the architectural cove on the ceiling. I also added limestone for the hearth and the surround to add some soft texture.”

For the bar, “I wanted to play with that same curve detail,” she explains. “So, I increased the footprint of the cabinetry by expanding it along the entire back wall and added a curved cabinet piece to make the entire bar blend seamlessly together. I went moodier in this space with beautiful soapstone from Precision Stone Design and a darker paint color, Sparrow by Benjamin Moore.”

Because her design work is inspired by the Belgian design movement that focuses on materiality and expert execution of architectural details, Studio W reworked the room’s existing soffit to incorporate a beautiful cove, adding softness to both rooms. Also in keeping with the Belgian aesthetic, both rooms are

done in a neutral color palette: e light and airy bedroom features ivories, tans, and natural oak woods; greys and browns grace the sunroom. For paint, Benjamin Moore’s White Dove was chosen. For fabrics, she partnered with Kravet to spotlight a range of performance and natural fabrics. “For example,” she says, “I used real leather on the ottoman, but faux leather on the fireplace fender.”

Partnering with STARK for the floor coverings, the mood board called for wall-to-wall carpet in a neutral ivory and beige tone for the bedroom and a custom rug for the sunroom. Furnishings are a mix of custom trade-only pieces. To create layered lighting moments, she simplified the can lighting plan and added picture lights from Visual Comfort.

is is the first year Studio W has designed for the Lake Forest Showhouse.

“To be included in designing a space in a home that was created by icons in the architectural and design worlds is such an honor,” she says. “It’s also a privilege to be working together to support Infant Welfare Society’s fundraising efforts that will create changes in our community.”

Ivette Lenzi’s artwork hangs in Hinsdale estates and Paris pieds-a-terre. Collectors appreciate her work for its subtle emotion, serene palette, and balance. She is committed to staying open to all possibilities in art and in life, which makes her a perfect fit for the Starbucks Art Program.

Starbucks realized that their stores see more foot traffic than many museums in the world and decided to capitalize on this by partnering with local artists to foster community in their stores. When the store at Hinsdale Avenue and Washington Streets in Hinsdale was recently renovated, Yvette was tapped to create an original artwork for the refreshed interior.

Working through iterations with the team, Yvette presented ideas including a version of the iconic mermaid.

e vision really began to take shape when Yvette, who uses texture in her work, was inspired to add real coffee grounds to the painting. With this artistic stroke of genius, her concept was approved, and Yvette was off to the studio to create the finished work. “It was a different process than painting a series or even a commission,” Yvette says.

She’s since collaborated with Serena & Lily and is in talks with other design houses to bring her work to audiences across the country. One of Yvette’s favorite quotes is “Art is everywhere. Art is everything.” It’s fitting that she’s brought this philosophy to this Starbucks location, which functions almost as a crossroads of the town, with so many people stopping in for a pick-me-up during the day. With this beautiful artwork on display, each patron can fuel their spirit as well as their energy.

“Art is everywhere. Art is everything.”

Knowing that her work hangs where writers, philanthropists, and other artists work is special to this warm and caring woman. “Art is such a part of my life, although it does not define me. is is my gift to a community that has embraced and supported me. I hope it inspires other artists and those who don’t think of themselves as artists, but who have art within themselves,” she says.

ELEMENTS OF STYLE

Designer Laura Chappetto founded her Element Design Network atelier on the belief that our homes are an extension of ourselves. “To me, a home is a representation of those who live in it,” she says. “It is my mission to help my clients have a sense of pride and ownership in the aesthetic of their home. I want my clients to feel their home perfectly reflects their personality and works seamlessly with their lifestyle.”

Chappetto’s mission is to help clients create a space that makes them take a deep breath and say, “I’m home.” Her curated designs ensure that clients can experience an even deeper connection to their living spaces and take pride in their home.

How do you ensure your designs or products are both functional and aesthetically pleasing?

Design is half art and half science. For me, functionality must come first in design. A home can be perfectly curated but if it doesn’t work for the people living there, it truly isn’t well designed. Inherently, a well-designed space is one that best reflects its intended use and then is done so beautifully. Any room can be beautiful, but when it functions efficiently, that’s when design is actualized.

How do you maintain consistency and quality across di erent projects, while still ensuring that each project feels unique?

I don’t worry so much about consistency. To me, it’s a compliment if no one knows who has designed a space. I feel strongly that what is important is my ability to bring out my clients’ personal aesthetic and curate spaces that function well and also beautifully speak to them. When a client is proud of their home and feels like it reflects their own personal style, that’s when I have done well.

How do you see the relationship between art and design in a home? How can art elevate a space?

Art is one of the most important design elements in a home. Often, artwork evokes a memory or a specific feeling. It is so extremely personal and that is what makes it so important in design. You could have two fairly similar homes but the artwork hanging on the wall will be able to tell you a story of who lives in the home, what they love, and the tone they have set for the room.

Kress, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, has a passion for historical American styles with extensive experience working on luxury, single-family homes. As a team, they pride themselves in their ability to balance creativity, quality, schedule, and budget for each of their projects— aspects that are critical for a successful outcome.

What trends are you currently seeing in your industry, and how do you anticipate these trends evolving over the next year?

We continue to see the desire for fresh, clean, and open designs for contemporary interior living spaces and an emphasis on transitional versions of traditional design styles that provide a more modern aesthetic yet fit traditional settings for the home’s exterior.

How do you tailor your services to meet the unique needs of luxury homeowners?

We listen carefully to our clients’ needs and center our design direction to best fit the homeowner’s desires. We don’t force styles that clients are uncomfortable with. Our designs are a true reflection of our clients’ personalities.

What’s one of the most memorable projects you’ve worked on, and what made it stand out for you and your client? During the pandemic we worked with a client that was seeking a modern living space that would serve as their personal lifestyle and fitness sanctuary. Our design featured not only the standard living areas you’d see in most homes, but also

a dedicated home theater, indoor fitness rooms and sport court, spa, billiards room, expansive home office, outdoor pool, kitchen, and arcade game areas.

How do you ensure your products are both functional and aesthetically pleasing?

We focus our design efforts first to provide the most functional layout possible, working with our homeowners in extensive programming discussions to best respond to how they want to live, but also understanding the massing requirements of a particular style. We then turn our focus specifically on building that style and character and enhancing the environment of each individual space within and design.

ROLL-UP-YOURSLEEVES ATTITUDE

The Larysa Domino Group is recognized as a leading real estate team with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate in Hinsdale and surrounding areas. This Hinsdale native’s success is often attributed to her background in corporate finance and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. A Northwestern University alumna with a B.A. in Economics, CPA, and an MBA from the Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, Domino’s core business principle is that a comprehensive market analysis creates competitive advantages for all— whether that involves pricing and preparing a listing or negotiating an o er. Helping clients make sound investments in the place they call home is her specialty.

What trends are you currently seeing in the real estate market, and how do you anticipate it evolving over the next year?

e number of homes traded privately, off-market, has increased over the past year. We have many sellers who are interested in a private sale due to the targeted nature of an off-market transaction. We pair these sellers with buyers that are looking for a very similar home. Buyers benefit from the process because of the access to great homes without the hassle of multiple bids. Sellers are safeguarded with a very private transaction, minimal showings, and a great price. We have access to many off-market opportunities and this pipeline has benefited our clients tremendously.

e luxury market has its own dynamics. How do you tailor your approach when working with high-net-worth individuals or luxury properties?

e Christie’s International Real Estate brand is the oldest brand in luxury. Our clients benefit from the synergies of this brand and worldwide exposure. We are focused on a full concierge approach to make our client’s move as seamless as possible. We take care of every detail from scheduling renovation work to styling and staging the home for sale along with everything in between.

How do you set realistic expectations for your clients, particularly when it comes to pricing and timelines?

We tailor a customized marketing strategy for each client. It is tailored to their desired move timeline and transaction privacy level. Pricing is not a “one size fits all” approach. Pricing depends on seasonality, whether the sale is a private or full MLS listing, and move timeline. It can be tricky for sure!

WALLS OF POSSIBILITY

Art dealer Christine Gebauer sees every bare wall as an opportunity for transformation. As the founder of Celestial Art Curation in downtown Hinsdale, her goal is to help you find works of art to fill those walls without breaking the budget. “We source original fine art from local artists and make it available to view online and now in person at our new gallery,” says Gebauer, a former corporate retail buyer. “We represent established, as well as emerging artists and o er original art at all price points. We believe art is for everyone and we host a variety of exhibitions and events at the gallery to engage the community in the local art scene.”

What trends are you currently seeing in the art curation industry, and how do you anticipate these trends evolving over the next year?

I am seeing clients leading conversations about art selection with “I want to feel…” and allowing me to make recommendations based on the overall experience they want to have in their home. Art is like a thermostat for mood. Whether you want to feel “calm” or “energized,” you can influence that by selecting complimentary artwork for the space.

How do you tailor your services to meet the unique needs of luxury homeowners?

We know that every client is unique and approaches art collecting in their own way. Some clients prefer to view art online and measure at home while they think over a new piece, while others love to pop into the gallery and pluck pieces off the wall that steal their heart. We meet clients wherever they are—in person, in their homes, or online—to make selecting art effortless and rewarding. We offer art advisory, commission coordination, in-home viewings, framing options, shipping, delivery, and installation.

What’s one of the most memorable projects you’ve worked on, and what made it stand out for you and your client?

I had a new client—a seasoned collector who had recently relocated—seek out our gallery to see the work of abstract artist Sherman Khan. When I arrived at her home, I had the pleasure of viewing her existing art collection. I was in awe of how well the pieces she had asked to see fit within her existing collection and new home. ey were like the missing puzzle pieces. Assisting clients in building meaningful art collections is both an honor and a joy.

His degree in Landscape Architecture from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, coupled with driven and meticulous installation crews, make King’s Landscape Design the ideal team for any outdoor living project.

How do you tailor your designs or services to meet the unique needs of luxury homeowners?

After a comprehensive onsite consultation, we are able to evaluate the client’s needs, property, and budget. is provides the framework for each personalized design that complements the unique style of both the client and their home.

How do you maintain consistency and quality across di erent projects, while still ensuring that each project feels unique? ough the general scope, style, and material selection differs from one personalized project to the next, every project is designed and installed with the same attention to detail that our clients have come to expect from our knowledgeable and experienced team of designers and craftsmen.

What role do you think landscaping plays in creating a cohesive luxury home experience?

e outdoor space should feel like an extension of the home. From front entrances and plantings to lighting and patio spaces, everything needs to complement each other in order to provide a cohesive, inviting, and comfortable luxury home experience inside and out.

What’s your process for selecting materials or nishes for a luxury project?

Typically, we look to the existing home’s architecture for design

cues that we can translate into the outdoor living space. is can be achieved by complementing an architectural style, whether it be contemporary or Craftsman, or by matching existing colors and materials such as natural stone or brick.

LUXE LIV ING

LIVABLE LUXURY

For nearly 20 years, SuzAnn Kletzien Design (SKD) has elevated homes in Chicago and beyond. Founded in 2008, Owner and Principal SuzAnn Kletzien has brought her distinct flair, memorable use of color, and keen attention to detail to every new project.

Kletzien’s passion for design grew in Newport Beach, where she launched her career remodeling residential and commercial spaces. The urban landscape of Chicago then drew her to the Midwest, where she worked as a design consultant for a high-end furniture showroom and designed kitchen and baths for luxury apartments before deciding to branch out on her own to launch SuzAnn Kletzien Design. SKD o ers a bold sensibility and defined personality to each and every home that results in livable luxury.

What’s one of the most memorable projects you’ve worked on, and what made it stand out for you and your client?

e most memorable project I’ve worked on was a historic Logan Boulevard three-flat that I converted into a singlefamily home. After several space plan revisions, I turned the structural elements over to an architect but was given creative freedom by the homeowner to take full reigns on the interiors. It was one of the first projects of this scale since launching SKD and it taught me how to deliver a beautiful home that exceeded client expectations, while staying within a set budget. To date, the home has since been featured in two magazines and is part of the Historic Logan Square Boulevard Architect’s walk.

How do you maintain consistency and quality across di erent projects, while still ensuring that each project feels unique?

As a rule, I never repeat my own designs, yet there is a consistent thread that reflects the true SKD feel and aesthetic in every project. I listen to each client’s needs and style preferences, while leaving room to create something bespoke to them that pushes them just past their comfort zone.

What’s your process for selecting materials or nishes (e.g., tile, ooring, window treatments) for a luxury project? I typically start with one design element—e.g. wallpaper, a rug, or tile to serve as inspiration. I use this as a focal point in the design and present these initial schematics to my client, which is generally well-received and leads the direction. is process offers the client options without feeling overwhelmed, and helps them feel involved, like the end result is personal to them and their needs.

SuzAnn Kletzien Design is located at 1579 North Milwaukee Avenue, Suite 307, in Chicago. For more information, call 312-835-1551 or visit suzannkletzien.com. You may also follow her on Instagram @suzannkletziendesign.

CHIC SPACES

A graduate of Harrington College of Design, Michelle Linn designed showroom spaces in the Chicago Merchandise Mart before launching her own business. With more than 15 years of experience, Linn is still passionate about creating beautiful and sophisticated spaces. Her style embraces traditional profiles and infuses them with modern touches and organic elements to create spaces that are layered, textured, and fresh. This trend-setting tastemaker currently lives in Hinsdale with her husband and two children.

What trends are you currently seeing in the home design industry, and how do you anticipate these trends evolving over the next year?

Color and pattern drenching are having a moment right now in design. I see taking one color and using it everywhere— on moldings, cabinets, walls, and ceilings. When you color drench and play with shade variations, you can really make a bold and inspired statement. I am seeing a similar play with fabric, where taking one pattern and applying it to the windows, furniture, and bedding—letting it be a showstopper. e concept has been around for a while, but it is being revived with a distinctly new and fresh approach.

How do you tailor your designs or services to meet the unique needs of luxury homeowners?

You must tailor each project differently because, for as much as projects are similar, no two clients are the same. Everyone’s needs, tastes and functionality requirements differ, and how these elements are considered against the background of that client’s home is a fresh challenge every time— that’s part of the joy. I have worked with one family on multiple homes and even though I know them very well, what they are trying to achieve and feel is different from space to space. We adapt to help bring the client’s vision to life and create beautiful but unique environments.

What’s your process for selecting materials or nishes (e.g., tile, ooring, window treatments) for a luxury project?

When selecting material that will be used in a project there are many things to consider, but coming up with a cohesive design throughout the home is key. You want the finishes you select to relate to each other—or to “talk” to each other—collectively telling a story as you journey through the home. at is really the ultimate goal with all the selections, whether it’s tile, stone, wood, fabric, or a chair silhouette.

REAL ESTATE COUNSELOR

As a former futures trader at Chicago’s Mercantile Exchange and Board of Trade, J Maggio is intimately familiar with the importance of pricing an asset. Today, as a broker with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, he enjoys being a real estate “counselor” for his clients—helping them to understand everything there is to know about the buying and selling process and to feel comfortable with the emotional and financial undertones that go with it. His natural ability to advise and guide people to success over the years, in the best and even in the worst-performing markets, is a testament to the experience, knowledge, and dedication that makes him stand out among his peers.

What would you say is your key to success in this competitive market?

e reality is that our local market in Hinsdale and the surrounding areas are starved for more homes for sale. Buyers are typically competing in multiple offer situations. Being upfront with your clients regarding what it’s going to take to win is key. We all wish we could say, “My buyer got this great deal,” but the wins today are your clients successfully negotiating a contract. Having that same transparency with other brokers fosters relationships and the desire to work together, which puts your clients at an advantage.

What do you consider the biggest challenge in the local real estate market today, and how are you addressing it?

e biggest challenge is there are not enough homes for sale. Buyers come from the city or out of state with an idea of how far their dollar will go, and a lot of times are shocked that it doesn’t come close to what they expected. Setting those expectations upfront and preparing them for what they’ll need to do to be competitive is crucial. On the flip side, when working with sellers, I focus on predictive data and trends for helping create a pricing model that accounts for the appreciating market that we’re in, rather than focusing on the past.

How do you ensure that your personal brand stands out in such a crowded and competitive real estate space?

I find that most broker marketing is the same— boring and unoriginal. I try to have some fun with my advertising and marketing, while keeping it professional. I like to emphasize that when you work with me, you work with me and no one else.

J Maggio is with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate at 30 S. Lincoln Street in Hinsdale. For more information, call 312-450-0012 or visit atproperties.com/agents/3024/j-maggio. You may also follow Maggio on Instagram @thejmaggio.

FAMILY MATTERS

Hinsdale native Paul Mancini, a broker with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, grew up in the real estate business. His father, Dominic, is a successful real estate attorney in the Chicago area and his older brother, also named Dominic, is Vice President of Guaranteed Rate. Those family connections have set him up for success, especially now that wife, Amanda Mancini, has joined his team. This dynamic husband-wife duo (and parents of three boys) are uniquely equipped to handle every detail of your real estate transaction with professionalism, vigor, and integrity. Paul has been recognized for his real estate success in multiple local publications, include Crain’s Chicago Business and Chicago Agent magazine, where he has consistently appeared in its “Who’s Who” list since 2018. He has personally closed over $250 million and has formed valuable relationships with all of his clients. With strong family ties to real estate law and lending services, the Mancinis o er the whole package.

Why is working with a well-connected local real estate agent crucial in today’s market, and what advantages does it o er buyers and sellers?

In today’s competitive market, it’s more important than ever to have an agent who’s hyper-connected to the local real estate scene. When you work with us, you’re not just getting access to the listings you see online—you’re getting exclusive opportunities that most people never hear about.

What do you consider the biggest challenge in the local real estate market today, and how are you addressing it?

Low inventory levels, especially for move-in ready homes. To address these challenges, I focus on educating my clients about market trends, financing options, and timing. I also keep a pulse on off-market opportunities and use my local network to ensure my clients have access to properties before they hit the broader market.

How do you ensure that your personal brand stands out in such a crowded and competitive real estate space?

As a lifelong Hinsdale resident, I know this community inside and out—its schools, parks, and neighborhoods—plus I have strong local connections. My marketing strategy includes professional staging, high-quality photography, and customized online content to showcase my listings. Whether you’re buying or selling, trust my expertise to guide you every step of the way.

ROOTED IN COMMUNITY

With a degree in advertising, more than a decade of real estate experience, and a deep-rooted knowledge of the community, Briana Murray has become the No. 1 Individual Agent in the @properties Christie’s International Real Estate Hinsdale o ce. From the search to negotiation and close, Murray works hard to make her clients happy and puts their needs and wants first. Born, raised, and now residing in Hinsdale with her husband and three children, she is actively involved in school and local activities. This personal knowledge of the community allows Murray to bring a unique and cultivated experience to her clients.

What trends are you currently seeing in the real estate market, and how do you anticipate it evolving over the next year? How do you think the local real estate market di ers from other regions in the U.S.?

As everyone knows, we’ve seen the continued trend of low inventory driving up prices and making it hard for buyers to win multiple offers and find the perfect home. ese sellers don’t want to leave their amazing 2.65 percent mortgage interest rate, and who can blame them. However, in 2020 when many homeowners took advantage of refinancing, or purchased, they may have done a 5- or 7-year ARM, and that will be coming up shortly. I think this might help move those homeowners on the fence. While the interest rate hike in late 2022 slowed the real estate market down nationally, we haven’t seen that in our area. We’ve seen an influx of cash buyers and buyers who have not been deterred by the rate increase.

What would you say is your key to success in this competitive market?

Hands down my key to success is my involvement in and around the community. I credit a lot of my success also to @properties Christie’s International Real Estate’s market share in Hinsdale and surrounding markets. Being with an office that has the largest listing market share is a valuable tool for my buyers!

e luxury market has its own dynamics. How do you tailor your approach when working with high-net-worth individuals or luxury properties?

e luxury market isn’t just selling or buying a home; it’s a lifestyle. I make sure I understand my client’s preferences and aspirations. Providing a concierge-level experience from first contact to after close is a must. Many luxury properties and transactions happen off-market, so having the relationships with other luxury agents, attorneys, and wealth managers is key. It’s all about exclusivity.

Many of my clients are my friends, neighbors, and fellow community members—or they may become that. My team and I provide them with exceptional service and expertise to help them achieve the very best possible outcome.

What do you consider the biggest challenge in the local real estate market today, and how are you addressing it?

It’s no secret that lack of housing inventory is one of the biggest challenges in our local market today and across the country. I have lived in Hinsdale for over 20 years and raised my family here. I’ve developed many relationships, both personally and professionally, and this is how I am able to find opportunities for both buyers and sellers—oftentimes before homes are on the market. I have wonderful relationships with many real estate brokers in town. While we are competitors, we work together collaboratively to bring buyers and sellers together. I feel fortunate to work with so many talented, dedicated colleagues.

e luxury market has its own dynamics. How do you tailor your approach when working with high-net-worth individuals or luxury properties?

e luxury market is a niche market. I have been a luxury real estate specialist for my entire career. When selling luxury homes, it’s important to know what makes a luxury home truly special and unique. I then customize my business strategy around each property to achieve the greatest results for my clients.

Low inventory and high demand continue to drive competition, especially in the suburban markets of Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills, and Western Springs. It has been beautifully updated for today’s living but also maintains the historical integrity of its time that makes a Zook home so unique and distinctive—including the famous signature spider web detail, exposed wooden beams, and chevron paneling. Truly one of a kind and so special to be a part of passing on a historic property.

DREAM TEAM

With a background in finance, design, and fashion, Dawn McKenna’s sophisticated marketing, branding, and social media presence has made her and her team, the Dawn McKenna Group (DMG), leaders in luxury real estate. Ranked among the top 20 Mega Teams in the nation across all brokerages by The Wall Street Journal RealTrends, DMG has established teams in the Western Suburbs, Chicago, the North Shore, Naples (FL), Park City (UT), Lake Geneva (WI), and New Bu alo (MI). She is joined by Lauren Walz, McKenna’s first addition to DMG, who works with McKenna serving DMG’s Western Suburbs clients.

How do you ensure that your personal brand stands out in such a crowded and competitive real estate space?

Walz: Being branded as a real estate agent is easy. Our goal is to be seen as something more. We want our clients, other agents, and potential clients to see us as professionals with a more holistic, informed viewpoint, and a skillset that helps them make smart decisions and close deals.

McKenna: My son, Jack, is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago (EEC). I go to as many of his ECC events as possible because not only do I get to spend time with him, but I learn about the macroeconomic, cultural, and business factors affecting the country, Chicagoland, and my clients’ properties. When I then discuss what I learned with my clients, they see that I am not your average real estate agent.

e luxury market has its own dynamics. How do you tailor your approach when working with high-net-worth individuals or luxury properties?

McKenna & Walz: Every client benefits from our exceptional services, which include hard work, deep market insight, and a creative approach to marketing. However, with luxury properties and high-net-worth clients, it is important to apply your knowledge and experience to additional issues those clients face, such as national economic conditions, tax issues, portfolio management, and even international investment trends.

What are some of the most unique or standout properties you’ve ever worked with, and what made them so memorable?

Walz: Locally, it was selling the ‘Woodside’ home (425 E. Sixth Street), built by William Robbins—founder of Hinsdale. Its historical significance to this town is profound, and passing the property to new stewards was a privilege and an honor.

McKenna: Selling the Home Alone house in Winnetka. Not only was it a great story, but this home was extremely nostalgic for me and the international media attention the listing garnered made it a truly unique experience.

THE JULIE SUTTON GROUP

With a background in marketing, Julie Sutton knows what it takes to prepare, market, negotiate, and close a listing. As principal broker with The Julie Sutton Group at Compass, she has been serving buyers and sellers in Chicago’s Western Suburbs since 2013. Sutton provides a keen eye for aesthetics and brings her talents as “the staging guru” to every listing. “The first showing is online. We’ve got one chance to visually invite the buyers in. Preparation, editing, and staging are the critical elements of e ective real estate marketing,” she says.

What trends are you currently seeing in the real estate market, and how do you anticipate it evolving over the next year?

While a white kitchen remains timeless, we are seeing homeowners infuse their homes with cheerful color—from bold painted built-ins, stunning wallpapers, and lacquered ceilings to warmer woods and hardwood finishes.

What do you consider the biggest challenge in the local real estate market today, and how are you addressing it?

I think the biggest challenge in this market is staying on top of the “coming soon” listings. So many sellers are taking advantage of “pre-market showings” because they generally have an upper hand when it comes to negotiating price and terms. ey are hard-pressed to take a low offer when the listing hasn’t been tested on the open market yet. e only way to stay on top of these “coming soon” listings is to regularly be in touch with local brokers, which has never been more important than in this market!

How do you set realistic expectations for your clients, particularly when it comes to pricing and timelines?

It’s important to properly prepare buyers in this market. It’s my job to provide a full comp analysis of any home they’re considering and educate them on what to expect.

In addition to her work as a designer, Bowman is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology—a journey sparked by a life-changing health crisis and her desire to explore a deeper, more holistic healing. This pursuit not only shapes her future design work but also profoundly influences her approach to client relationships and the transformative power of design.

Leslie Bowman Design has earned recognition as one of the top three interior design studios in the nation and has been featured on HGTV’s Windy City Rehab

What trends are you currently seeing in the home design industry, and how do you anticipate these trends evolving over the next year? What innovations are you particularly excited about? In the home design industry, there is a growing emphasis on health and wellness. As people become more mindful of their physical and mental wellbeing, I believe that the spaces they inhabit should be designed differently to support those needs. is shift, as well as my recent personal experience, has lead me to pivot my design process to incorporate a more holistic approach that focuses on how a space can make a person feel—both physically and emotionally. In the future, I anticipate that the blending of design and wellness will only deepen, with more clients seeking spaces that foster mental clarity, relaxation, and a sense of balance. Design will be less about aesthetics alone and more about creating environments that nurture the mind, body, and spirit.

How do you ensure your designs or products are both functional and aesthetically pleasing?

I feel that, as a designer, I can make anything aesthetically pleasing but if it’s not functional, then it is not worth the time or effort. When a client hires me, I go through an extensive process of getting to understand how they inhabit their space and what they dislike most about how their current spaces operate so that I can reimagine their environment.

GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND

Casselyn Tertell never second-guessed her decision to become a Realtor. More than 17 years later, the University of Iowa graduate still prides herself on making her Compass clients feel like a top priority, both during and after their transactions. Tertell has earned an impressive list of certifications and achievements in the industry since beginning her career—including the 2014 National Association of Realtors® 30 Under 30 award, an honor only given to 30 agents in the country. In 2015, she started The Signature Homes Group, a team of likeminded agents that help her assist clients with all their buying and selling needs. She and husband Brad have two sons and make their home in the western Suburbs.

What would you say is your key to success in this competitive market?

Remaining consistent. I always stay on top of the market and do not treat this career as a part-time job.

What do you consider the biggest challenge in the local real estate market today, and how are you addressing it?

Inventory. Buyers are looking for homes, but may not be able to afford their dream home with the higher interest rates and lack of available properties. I have written to owners of homes that are not listed to see if they would consider selling and have come up with other creative ways to help my clients obtain the home they’re seeking in this very competitive environment. I have also educated my sellers on the state of the market to ensure they are open to reviewing all offers and make the best choice.

How do you ensure that your personal brand stands out in such a crowded and competitive real estate space?

I’m consistent with my message and go above and beyond for my clients, always. I’ve also had the honor of getting referrals from past clients who speak highly of my abilities.

e luxury market has its own dynamics. How do you tailor your approach when working with high-net-worth individuals or luxury properties?

e listing process is different for a luxury listing, but the message is always the same. Showcase the unique aspects of the home— whether it’s through professional photos, videography, marketing, or staging. e same is true for helping high-net-worth clientele find their ideal home. I listen for what they are looking for and do my best to help them find it.

DOWN-TO-EARTH DESIGN

Susan Klimala is the Owner and Creative Director of TKS Design Group, bringing more than two decades of experience in the design industry. Her design philosophy emphasizes creating eclectic, layered, and cozy spaces that reflect her clients’ personal stories and passions. She is known for her down-to-earth approach, problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for both bold statements and subtle details that make a space unique.

How do you tailor your designs or services to meet the unique needs of luxury homeowners?

First and foremost, our clients want unique and personalized ideas that reflect their unique personalities and lifestyles. We are great listeners and enjoy coming up with memorable ways to connect the dots that are neither boring nor predictable. Secondly, our clients are busy! After 20 years, we have honed our processes to allow for efficiencies in the design and build components.

How do you ensure your designs or products are both functional and aesthetically pleasing?

For me, function is always paramount and is a parameter for the project. Once we have the function nailed, then we can enter the aesthetics portion. It is not an altogether linear process though. If there is an aesthetic target we are trying to hit then that is always at the back of our minds as we think about functionality. It’s a bit of a dance.

What are some of the latest innovations in your industry that you’re particularly excited about? is may seem like a small thing, but cordless lamps are making me excited. As a designer, dealing with the cords is always such an issue, especially when you are working with a custom rug or furniture floating in the center of the room.

How do you maintain consistency and quality across di erent projects, while still ensuring that each project feels unique?

We work almost exclusively with to-the-trade vendors and trade partners who we have long term relationships with and with whom we can make creative customizations to ensure that each project is unique. I do appreciate a good “high/low” design, but some items—upholstery and countertops come to mind— you always want to purchase the best quality you can afford.

OFF THE BEATEN PATH

A weekend getaway in Arizona at the Ambiente Sedona, a Landscape Hotel.

During Barrington’s long winter months, nothing sounds more appealing than a getaway to the Arizona desert, where its fabled red rocks seem to radiate the sun’s warmth. For the winter-weary, the Ambiente Sedona Landscape Hotel is the ideal destination for a weekend focused on health and wellness.

Last December, we landed in Phoenix to find a car waiting to transport us to Sedona—an easy two-hour drive. As we passed through the desert, we slowly climbed to an elevation of close to 4,400 feet. Pulling onto the grounds of the Ambiente Sedona, we admired how the hotel was tucked into the landscape. Walking

through the lobby’s double doors, we were greeted with a floorto-ceiling vista of the stunning red rock mountains behind the hotel. In a unique touch, every room on the property is a separate structure. Dubbed Atriums, each structure is thoughtfully designed to mesh with the landscape. e Creekside Atriums, for example, are propped on stilts allowing a creek ambling through the property to meander underneath and around. Inside all the Atriums expansive windows showcase breathtaking views while private rooftops are perfect for an afternoon on the daybed with a coffee and book or for a night of stargazing while sipping wine and basking in the warmth from your private firepit.

After our day of travel, we were ready to explore. Directly next

to the Ambiente is the trailhead for the Adobe Jack trail, an almost two-mile hike that connects to other trails, allowing hikers to access more than seven miles of trails directly from their rooms. As the sun descended over the mountains, we admired the rugged beauty of the trees lining the rocky trail. After four miles, we headed back to the hotel. Passing the pool, we paused to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail by the outdoor firepits, listening to the relaxing sounds of the burbling creek.

at evening we dined on-property at Restaurant Forty1. Helmed by Chef David Duncan, the venue’s menu features incredible Southwest-inspired dishes centered around indigenous flavors and locally sourced ingredients. e Butterfish appetizer—halibut belly, macadamia nuts, furikake, miso, and mirin-soaked cucumbers—was the most delicious way to start the meal. e bison short rib puree entrée that followed was paired with charred broccolini, beet puree,

shaved black truffle, and mustard caviar. e brilliant flavor pairings were masterful combinations of the unexpected.

Saturday morning dawned early and, after enjoying the delicious pour-over coffee we brewed in our room, we headed to breakfast. e immunity boost is a freshly made juice bursting with zesty ginger, carrot, and orange notes. Paired with local granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, and a drizzle of honey, it was the perfect beginning to the day. Having read about Sedona’s famed vortexes—where energy from the earth swirls and flows powerfully—we were eager to experience it ourselves. So, we took advantage of the Ambiente’s convenient transport and pick-up service—available within a two-mile radius of the property—and were dropped at the trailhead for the Airport Mesa Trail. Our first stop was the energy vortex at the top of the mesa. e view is unbelievable and offers a true 360-degree panoramic view of the red rock formations across the Arizona desert. Juniper trees, which typically grow straight, grow twisted at the vortex; an anomaly without a known explanation. Embarking on a five-mile hike that circumnavigated Airport Mesa, we enjoyed every moment of physical exertion while marveling at the bluest of skies. At the hike’s end, we texted the Ambiente and a driver was there to pick us up within five minutes—a true luxury.

Next up was a visit to the hotel’s renowned Velvet Spa. I opted for the Reawaken Celestial Chakra treatment, which incorporates many

modalities including sound bowls, traditional massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, moon-shaped crystals, and gentle energy work to reawaken your senses, bringing your seven chakras into balance. e experience left me simultaneously balanced and relaxed, restored and re-energized.

at afternoon we explored downtown Sedona’s charming shops, which are full of trinkets and souvenirs for those waiting back home.

On our last day, eager to fit in one more morning hike, we reserved a Lexus SUV—available thanks to the partnership between the Ambiente and Lexus. We headed to the Cathedral Rock Trailhead to experience more astounding views. After reveling in nature’s physical beauty, we drove a short distance to experience the spiritual beauty of the Chapel of the Holy Cross—a Catholic church built in the 1950s into the mountain rocks. Although tiny, the chapel dominates the landscape with its unique architecture.

Returning to the Ambiente, we enjoyed a brunch that showcased an incredibly inventive mix of flavors. I opted for the ahi tuna gyro, paired with edamame hummus, macadamia nuts (providing the perfect crunch), a shishito pepper slaw, mango, and sambal aioli,

e Madison School Parent Teacher Organization kicked-off a year-long celebration of Madison’s 100-year anniversary with a bright and festive evening at Oak Brook Manor. With a DJ for dancing, photo booth, and surprises throughout the night, it was an excellent way to beat the winter doldrums and celebrate this extraordinary school community. Look for ways to mark this milestone throughout the coming months. madisonpto.org

operating a company. “While it’s much more difficult than I ever imagined, it is also tremendously rewarding,” Graham shares.

Homeowners and commercial customers are often faced with the challenge of needing a safe enclosure on their property— whether for a new pet, young children, privacy or security— with limited time to focus on the installation process. “We alleviate that challenge by taking on the arduous tasks of village permits, HOA approvals, and utility locates,” says Graham.

Superior Fence & Rail of Chicago aspires to become the community’s go-to fence and railing installation company, with a steadfast commitment to customer service and quality installation. “Our goal is to be THE trusted fence company in this community by never losing sight of our primary focus: customer service and quality installation,” says Graham.
